Dawn marks a new day beginning morning twilight and sunrise after it. Twilight,however is the time of day between darkness and daylight before the sun rises and between daylight and darkness after the sun sets. This is often what we see as the pinkish hue over the skies. The sun is already below the horizon.
Sunrise comes first before the actual light and it occurs when the sun's top disc breaks the plane first thing in the morning. And sunset on the otherhand occurs when the sun's top disc sinks in the horizon.
Moreover, we commonly see the sun's light as red, orange, pink blue and purple. This is due to the phenomenon called scattering where molecules and small particles in the atmosphere change the direction of lightrays causing them to scatter.

Here in our place, seldom do you see sunrise. We live at the foot of the mountainside and a good view is impossible. It is only the evening twilight which one would be able to see.
Mountain trekking to the top and an overnight camping would make one witness the beautiful sunset, sunrise and sea of clouds
