Is 2021 New Year's Resolution Necessary

The entry of the year twenty-twenty is a bit shaky due to numerous disasters that hit the country. On March, marked the most devastating event in to human kind- the pandemic. Up until this year-end, the virus was not resolved yet, but it is mutating instead. Vaccines are still unreliable.

New year's resolutions for this year weren't achieved especially those that are considered high goals, specifically financial. We have all been in an economic struggle due to the course of preventing the rapid spread of the disease.

A new year's resolution have been a tradition to either improve more of the current year's achievements which you set the previous year for a new year's resolution, cut down those old bad habits which you have been trying to resolve over the years or to eliminate bad vices which were dragging you into the sink hole.

New year is a perfect time to sit down, think and make a list of what you have been thinking of doing for the past week or even months back. But is it really necessary to do so with our current situation? YES, it is. The goals should be realistic and reasonable. How so? This year was unlike any other year, a very difficult and challenging one which we are still adapting to. That is a given which we need to consider when making our to-do list because if not, then we are adding more pressure and stress to ourselves which is very unlikely in staying healthy.

So avoid setting huge goals for the coming year because stress and disappointment leads to distress and coping with it is much difficult which we don't want to happen. Even on normal years, resolutions were likely to be abandoned on the second quarter of the year or even earlier. If you're itching to adopt in the new normal new year's resolution and make changes then instead of huge ones, make it into bits and attain each bit on the set time. This small change and achievement will make your life better if you consider why you need to push through it.

We can start on this list:

Time management

I can say proper time management should be on the number one of the list. With it you have an orderly to-do lists that needs to be done accordingly. Organized lists from your huge goals need to be broken into smaller ones. A goal achieved successfully brings more radiance and glow to ones physique because they are attained little by little and that brings joy to our hearts.

Procrastination

Procrastination ruins time management. Everyone does and it's a bad habbit that is holding anyone who does it in a regular basis. "Do it now if you can and don't say later. Because if you do, it will become a habbit and might ruin you," this was once told to me when I was on highschool by my ever diligent father who doesn't waste any single second. So if done once, don't let it hold you the second time, 'cause it will then again make you do it the third until a set goal wasn't attained.

Stay healthy and Fit

During this pandemic, we have to be very mindful of our health and wellness that's why we need to be healthy and fit always.

  1. Cut down on bad vices such as smoking and drinking. It is hard to let go in one drop yet we have to do it little by little. We're not only trying to save our body from future serious illness but our family's too. Sometimes these bad vices are the main reason of broken family due to one's addiction that leads to quarrel and fights which we basically doesn't want to happen. In doing so, we're not only becoming healthier but saving a lot of money from buying those hazardous things.

  1. Exercise and eat balance diet. It's everyone's goal (specially having a good body shape) but when trying to get out of bed in an earlier time for workout during the cold mornings of January and February is a difficult task. So what about sneaking it after your busy day. Starting for 15 minutes until it becomes a routine then you can add a little more time to it. So aside from workouts, cutting on junkfood is also a little hard. So do your list of groceries by not adding lots of those instant,easy-to cook foods to completely eliminating them from your list of groceries.

  2. Cook your own food. Busy people nowadays find it more convenient to go on foodchain outlets for their lunch and snacks not minding their diet. Again, time management to prepare for a healthy meal.

  3. Healthy sleep pattern. With all the colored screened technologies around us, it's hard to get a decent 8-hour sleep. But we need to, because it has a good impact to us by waking up in the morning physically and mentally well-rested leading to a day's better performance.

Earn and save

Earn more money and save. Everyone is itching to have a comfortable budget so if you're one with bad vices then all the best to cut it down so that you can save more. I, myself wants to earn a dime even with my little kids around that's why am making use of my time thru read.cash to have some. Make use of your internet to make money rather than using it mostly on useless things such as social media browsing and online gaming.

Socialize. Even during this pandemic, we still need to have time to socialize and meet new people. People with jobs are not the only ones who need it but also stay-at-home moms or dads.

The lists goes on and on and these were the ones which I think were on the top of it. As for me, I will add parenting goals and keep note to keep me on track.

Remember that we have to consider the world's situation these days. It's not bad to aim high and be out of our comfort zones just to give life to what we're aiming for, but the truth is we're like a caged bird so be realistic with your new year's resolutions to avoid getting too disappointed when you can't get what and where you wanted to.
