Fear
Fear can seem overpowering, but if you learn to understand and manage it, it’s a great tool for achieving your goals. Most people have certain fear which guide their life positivity and in other way around, what fear do you have, does it affect you positively or negatively? What is fear?
Fear may be a negative emotion causing apprehension, dread, and a sense of danger. Fear can be physical or mental. The physical side is unpleasant feelings in the body and happens when something new or unknown takes place. The mental side is related to thoughts about things (such as death, pain, and disappointment) that have happened in the past or might happen in the future. A specific behavior pattern for controlling fear is called a phobia.
On the other hand, It can be a powerful emotion that prompts us to avoid new experiences and situations. Fear also encourages us to act impulsively. When choosing what to do in the face of fear, there are three things we need to consider: how it affects our remote future; how it affects our near future, and what it does to our present sense of safety.
Fear could makes you want to run, hide, hit something or someone, scream this leads to other messy emotions and sometimes physical trauma.
It can can be positive or negative.
On the positive side, it can be a valuable ally. A tool one need and can be use to keep control of your life. Because, it helps us recognize what's important, what's going on, how to react and also keeps us safe by helping us avoid danger.
On the negative side, let take FOMO (fear of missing out) for example.
Fear of missing out is one of the most powerful human emotions. It can cause one to make bad investment decisions, resulting to investing one's money poorly, and overspend more than what you need to spend. It can also drive you to miss out on opportunities that could raise your income or save your life.
Consequently, fear is a choice. The choice of being afraid, or choosing to act with curiosity and want to understand the world around us.
Fear can be chosen over excitement, and when it is, sadness often follows. It is a feeling of aversion and revulsion, but more than this it is also a state of mind. When we choose to be afraid, it suggests that we are choosing to be ruled by emotions rather than our rational minds. It causes one to lose sight of life's possibilities. Instead of losing our sense of self, we must learn to embrace life in all its forms.
Ultimately, Fear itself is not a problem. The solution lies in embracing life and all its possibility. We all experience fear in our lives at one time or another. But when we choose to embrace this human emotion and discover how the world can live through us, instead of living in fear, then we can truly be bravely ourselves.
Fear can be an overwhelming force, but it does not have to dictate our life or those around us. When we choose fear and violence over kindness, compassion and love, this world becomes a worse place for everyone.
