My booster vaxx shot
Good evening lovely readers! How did your day went?
I hope its good and lovely.
So it has been mandated in my country to have a 3rd dose of covid vaccination, especially to those who had their 2nd dose in the past and over 3 months. It happend that I had my 2nd dose last September 14, I may have to write my experiences about it sometime, and I am legible to get the third dose.
When the covid cases rose agian due to the government's losing grip of the protocols, and th people were confident that they were already vaccinated and went out even though they don't really have something important to go to and went to parties in the holidays, my boss got alarmed. Since his wife's family is one of the owners of a famous hospital in Cagayan de Oro, he already had his 4th dose and arranged a special schedule for us in the soonest time.
I was informed that I was on the list of the scheduled employee last January 13, and the vaccination took place in January 15. The ride to the city was arranged. I was supposed to go to work at 7, they set it that time so we will not go through a long line, but I wasn't able to wake up until then and my youngest child was not feeling very well and he cried the whole hour.
I was willing to give up opportunity and told my co-workers to go ahead an dnot to wait for me, but mam Rona said that has to wait for the soya meal customer to arrive and release papers so they will be loaded out. She heard my son crying when she called and decided to wait for me because she and Rhods will take a taxi to the hospital and she said she can tag me along.
So we did take a taxi and arrived in the hospital in less than 30 minutes using the coastal road that serves as a diversion road in the city.
Since I live in the mountainous parts of Bukidnon, seeing the sea definitely brings joy to me. Whenener I see a beach, there would be a little voice inside my head that tells me to have a bath in the water. Do you feel this too?
While travelling, my co workers are monitoring how did the other's vaccination went and we are amazed to hear that theey were done already and there were no waiting in line.
Our vaccination was held in a very special way, we were allocated with 4 personnels and it was held in the hospital's conference room which took us almost five minutes to find because when we saw Ariel in the parking lot, mam Rona asked him to take us where the others are and too us in the parking area since he didn't know that we have just arrived. We all laughed because there have been a miscommunication among us and then he sent us in the building where it was held but didn't accompany us in the specified room.
When we arrived at the conference room, we logged our names down and we were given a form to fill up with, we were called by the vaccinator and was injected without even checking our BP and interviewing us just like what we have experienced in our first and second dose. They didn't even bother looiking at out ID, and our vaccination card.
I caught a snap on my co worker who got very tense and asked her why, she said that the nurse said "mag inject nako mama ha, 1, 2, 3...." and pinched the needle right in.
I came after, I even failed to record it in a video because it happened in a sudden.. Then came Rhod's turn and was fast. We thought we will be aksed to rest and be observed first before we will be released, bug there is nothing. Confused where to out the forms we had just filled in, I asked the vaccinator and he thinks that I was not done yet, and asked me to sit down. I declined and asked him where to submit the paper that I'm holding. After that we went out.
I asked my colleague if do booster shots be given a card or something as a proof, they said "maybe" and called our other olleagues about it and we were told that the booster card will be sent after.
On the way home, our transportation was catered by the manager's pick up driven by kuya Amer, and we stopped in a fast food drive through.
It was Mam Rona's treat and she bought us chicken, spaghetti and she chose an orange drink because we have been "yayay" weall laughed because yayay is a term used by kids when they get hurt or sick.
Few moments later, the two girls felt headaches and pain on the arm that was injected. I felt churning in my stomach too, I was even worried becausether is a very long traffic, and I thought I needed a comfort room. Im glad it was just gas and subsided after I released it.
During lunch break, I ate a litte faster that I should and went to the stockroom to have a little rest. I rested my back in the pile of printed papers for tags and reports. In order to sleep as soon as possible, I turned my music on a d listened to it. It worked and I had a very good sleep in just a span of less than an hour. It was brief but very deep and it refreshened me though it didn't make the pain in my arm go away.
I did less activies in the afternoon, due to what I felt. I already knew what can be done later and I have learnt to do it fast. I'm not being lazy but I just don't want to stress myself out.
When I got home, my arm is worse, and I even needed my husband's help in changing clothes because I can hardly lift my arm up. When he left for duty, I was forced to do things in the house and even have to carry my son using my injected arm which I thought have helped shortening the days tgat I felt its pain. But in midnight, I was awaken by the pain and I had to hot compress it for a while.
This would be all for now, I hope to share more of my experience someday soon.
How about you? What's your experience in your booster vaccination?
Hope you will not have any side effects. I am about to schedule a booster too and I am thinking that i should do it soon.
