Daughter had a fever
I will never leave a smart phone to my kids ever again.
Yesterday was a very rainy day and I am happy. We had crops planted on the farm and they need the rain sfor sustainance.
Today, the sun shone and the sun's warmth felt so good ion the skin as I was walking towards my the bus stop for my workplace . Yet I was awake very early today. My eldest daughter woke me up and asked me to lay down beside her.
We do co-sleeping and all of us 5 sleeps on the same bed every night. Co-sleeping makes more easier for me to monitor my kids too.
little did I know that my daughter is not feeling well and she asked me to be close to her, A little while after, she asked for a milk, honestly, I was sa little mad because it took he to too long to ask and I was already half-asleep that time and it was just 4 am.
My daughter is a bit hot, I ignored it at first because I thought it was just a natural body reaction to cold. Pre-morning is the coldest time of day and see was not having her blanket on.
Later on, woke up and took a medicine for my child. Good thing last day, my husband volunteered to assist on a medical mission and he was given lots of paracetamols for the kids.
I gave 10mL paracetamol but before she drank it, she rushed towards the bathroom to vomit. She vomited the milk she just drank.
After a few minutes of drinking the meds, my daughter sweated and her temperature dropped.
My second child woke up too and we did not get back to sleep again. We had cuddles and it felt very good
The reason why my daughter do a fever is not getting wet on the rain, rather, it was about her skipping meals yesterday. I let the kids borrow an old smart phone yesterday and they forgot to have their lunch. My husband got busy at 11am and went straight to work. He was confident that my mother is around to tell the kids to have their lunch but she too was busy washing her clothes.
The children had a late lunch and drank a cold drink after. We call it pasmo on our dialect. Today, I was monitoring her and she said she had a bad headache. I was blaming myself for letting them borrow a phone.
A few months back, I usually see kids getting hospitalized and some got paralyzed, some died too because they spend too much time on the gadgets, skipping meals and not getting a right amount of sleep.
I don't want my kids stop suffer the same, so as long as they are still young, I will only let them borrow phone for a short while everyday.
I learned my lesson the hard way and I should have not done it, Im blaming myself for what happened.
Get well soon,
