SHTF (Once the shit hits the fan)

The government is not prepared for the nearest future.

Of course, it knows that things will go wrong. The number of families living below the poverty line is increasing daily, as are the debts. Interestingly, there is plenty of money to go to war and also to give a few billion to coal mines to be able to use the mines again but there is no money to help those who have nothing left to eat, to assist the people (who continue to fill the state's account) financially with the sky-high electricity costs that the standard household has long been unable to pay.

A minister made the comment that for those whose costs increased by hundreds of euros a month, financial assistance should be available. The Constitution says that everyone is equal and this also applies when it comes to a warm home and food.

Higher heating costs? What about all those people who have been economising for years and don't even dare turn on the heater? This minister, who means well by the way, hopefully, does not believe that high energy costs are something that is suddenly a factor due to Brussels' fault. Those high energy costs are for many no longer affordable. Heating less is something the older generation remembers most. In young families, the stove just keeps burning until the debts are so high and the energy supply company stops delivering. And no, this is not a recent problem or one that has been exacerbated by an epidemic. This problem exists for more than ten, even twenty years. The introduction of the EU and the euro already made the lives of many impossible. For a change, it would be nice if those who spent winter after winter in the cold can turn on the heater for a change and enjoy 18 degrees celsius.

We live in the same situation as in 1923 and 1945 only worse, someone who wrote a paper on how to prepare yourself for what is to come -the economical crisis, the end of the world we know- said. The warnings have been there for a long time, Klaus Schwab and all his specialists, the G7 shared and keep sharing their plans, but the average person does not take them seriously. As long as there is still some food in the shops it will all be untrue, not real, and therefore, a conspiracy theory. That is how many think and later when panic strikes there will be no more humanity or civilisation.

Civilisation is an outward show, keeping up appearances.

As soon as humanity starves to death, it will rise up against it. No, the hungry man is not the hardest worker. A hard worker is motivated and not born out of necessity. A hard worker is a workaholic, someone who enjoys working and would do the work even if they were poorly paid. A person who hears his stomach growling and cannot sleep because of pain and hunger, a person who feels weak is not even able to concentrate and work hard but he will envy and get angry. Hard workers prefer to be rewarded, appreciated, and today's generations may work for food, but they were raised with the idea that work should also give mental satisfaction. It is not so easy to discard that idea all of a sudden. The average person would rather beg and steal than work. The many scammers make a good example.

The government is not prepared.

It has no plan for reducing nitrogen emissions. It is not thinking about the consequences. Without farmers, without cattle, there is no food. Without (offshore) oil there is no transport. No transport means that nothing can be bought, imported from the neighbours or overseas.

The government hardly thinks and wants us to believe that it is enough to reopen a few coal mines and that everyone will be happy, even though it does not solve the problem of famine and coal mines are not suddenly environmentally friendly because there are no other options.

The government just pretends to do something and is not setting a perfect example for the people. A government that keeps spending money they don't have and does not get value for the money spent, the money that the people pay is a bad administrator, and treasurer and should certainly not be managing accounts and portfolios. The government clearly cannot handle money and if they cannot, the question is whether the thorny citizens are capable of doing so. The government borrows and borrows more and more money and its budget is never correct. It has never heard of setting priorities. The people are certainly not a priority which is for a dictatorship quite normal, but if a country is a democracy and there is a constitution it's not. The question is how it is possible that ministers can do as they please and violate every right and never be punished. If judges refuse to punish those who did wrong this is a sign. Saying that the government is going to resign does not change anything if the whole club stays in place and continues to govern.

The government is not prepared and does not seems to be in hurry to do so.

This means that everything is going exactly as planned. Ministers come and go and are all part of the WEF club. The citizen who pays the bills no longer matters. This can only mean one thing: that there is a hidden agenda, there is no democracy and each citizen must fend for himself.

Save yourself when it comes to a roof over your head, a heated house, drinking water and food. Medical care and education will soon be a luxury that more and more people will not be able to afford so educate yourself and your children.

Doctors and nurses who used to be applauded in 2020 are in disgrace and soon will no longer be needed. In this new world, most of them are useless. Many have the death of others on their conscience.

The citizens? They will have to learn how to deal with a cough, an ingrown toenail and an open wound. The time will come you have to be your own doctor. Those people who are still alive by then will be stronger and rely on themselves.

It is good to be prepared.

I read that for one person you have to calculate 2000 calories per day (if you ask me you can do with 1200 but who knows people will need more calories once they are more active and lost overweight). Once you know how many calories a certain type of food contains, you know how much you need to store if you want to provide yourself with food for one year (210 kilos of rice would be enough for one person for one year and rice won't get spoiled).

Poverty, a lack of food? This is not my first rodeo. I know what it is like to be hungry and as I wrote, I will not let my children starve to death because the government has other plans for us. I can live with patches on my clothes, without a hairdresser, doctor and social media. I don't need the latest news to tell me what is right or wrong, who to follow or help out.

Necessity breaks the law and starvation is a good reason to break the law and it will be broken by all of us more than once.

I am quite curious though how governments prepare for this. As soon as money becomes useless, it is literally dumped on the streets, the chaos will be complete. There will be no policeman or soldier to protect the citizens, politicians, and the rich of the earth. Without power, no alarm will work, no computer, no drone. Perhaps there will be people who will continue to play the Hunger Games of the 21st century for a while and some might win the first prize as a reward for the entertainment they provided to the triplets of Bill Gates, Oprah

or Klaus Schwab's monsters, who will certainly say the same thing that the history books are already full of I didn't know, it wasn't me.

Prepare for the worst and you will make your life easier plus avoid a lot of stress.

You can prepare only for your own needs in terms of food or also the protection of yourself and your home (cold, the threat from people who have not prepared and like the grasshopper kept on merrily partying and then suddenly think they are entitled to your food, your home, your clothes...) or work together with others (family, neighbours) so that you can survive together and share the tasks.

_Whatever happens, I hope you are awake enough to at least have a supply of food and items you might need (first aid kit for example), start growing some food yourself and make the best of your life._

_We are living in a special time and many of us are going to develop skills we never thought we would have. Live life, enjoy nature and do not be fooled by leaders who do not even know what they are doing and cling to mathematical models that are far from the truth._

Indeed the government is not prepared I agree. And do not plan to be prepared. Life would be more hard on the generations to come.

Powerhouse! Thank u for all the tips. I too, am trying to grow my own food. Just started and everything is still growing and adjusting. I have them located on my roofdeck since its a lot of space. Hopefully I can manage it well, right now fertilizer is a concern but hoping I can cope easily. Problem with the soil, I definitely have to put effort on it. Again, thank u for sharing.
