Cigarettes

I never smoked. Still, cigarettes spoiled a big part of my life. I was always surrounded by smokers, people who never cared about anyone else. Those smokers blew the smoke into other's faces, pushed their cigarettes into your body, left the ashes behind, and till today they throw the left cigarette everywhere they go which includes the street, my garden and if I would let them my house too.

I am not longing for those days back then as smokers ruled. Nonsmokers sat in their smoke and bad air in the cinema, restaurants, and trains. The smoker shouted at you if you asked them to not smoke in a nonsmoking area. Today smoking cigarettes is no longer normal. It does not give you a certain class if you smoke on the contrary. Smokers are seen as low-educated people and no (old) Marlboro cigarette-smoking cowboy can ever change the smoker into a cowboy again. Even if being a cowboy is negative too. Cowboys today are seen as killers. I remember how the government forbids playing "cowboy and Indian". Even back then the government interfered with people's, children included lives.

I read cigarettes will be more expensive in 2023 in the EU, packages of 10 cigarettes are no longer sold, and next to the text warnings printed on it a huge photo of a disease caused by smoking will be printed on it. Will the smoker care? I doubt it. Does the government care about the nation's health? They proved since at least 1915 they don't. People are a huge source of income and after the latest governmental hoax we know we are all part of experiments and politicians, scientists and doctors can't be trusted.

Longing for a cigarette is created by the same people who say you should not travel and claim they care about the earth. The same people who pay for rioting, own MSM, control your thoughts, give you a killer jab and let you die on the streets for hunger. The cigarette won't disappear and they will find another way to figure out who is easy to manipulate, can't control himself, and can be drugged.

The government makes a great income from the sale of cigarettes just like they do alcohol, owning a car, and gasoline. If they cared about health and nature, and carbon footprint, these industries would have been banned years ago. Instead, the government was even fine with e-cigarettes which are forbidden today too just like cigarettes with a special taste because they should be more dangerous. EMA, healthcare is a joke but I'm sure most people do not think deeper about the reason behind the latest ideas and laws and they forget how it once was even if once is only a few months ago.

Cigarettes even the cheaper packs have gone up to about $6 in the US. The more quality brands run from anywhere to $8 and up! I'm blessed to have never been addicted to smoking!!!

I am glad I do not smoke. Chocolate is cheaper. 20 cigarettes is 10 euros and the government wants to make it 47 euros. Interesting. The government makes a big income on cigarettes and alcohol.

I guess most of us are surrounded with smokers. Some indeed don't listen and get angry instead whenever told. What annoys me the most is that even inside our house, the smokes come in because we're situated near a road hayst.

By now I am no longer surrounded by smokers. I admit I am sensitive to the smell. Smokers are surrounded by it, their skin, hair, clothes, hands. If a smoker talks or passes by...

Ventilating my house was once an issue. Today it's not. More and more people gave up on it.

I saw a woman not wanting to buy a packet of cigarettes because of a drastic picture. She asked for another pack with a less drastic picture. Will she become a non-smoker if there are only very drastic images? Probably not, but maybe she will at least smoke less.

This is true, but many governments are beginning to realise that the cost of the health system is rising much higher than the revenue from the cigarette tax.

I remember when they started with those texts printed on it. The smokers joked and said they would collect them all. In my opinion and experience, people are not shocked for long. It's the same if it comes to war, sexual abuse, gangs, horror, and thrillers they get used to it, but shrug and say it does not concern them. Here they sell covers for the cigarettes and shag (tobacco) so no one sees the picture. If I was a smoker I would't care.

Those who want to smoke will smoke, buy, steal or grow it themselves. I would do that too if I was a smoker.

Except for commercials being forbidden years ago and no smoking in public places (partly a joke too) the government didn't do much. They pretend to care more about those drinking juice, the use of sugar, or eating meat.

Health insurances with us have plenty of savings. You are hardly able to see a doctor and next to the monthly fee of 115 euros or way more plus paying for your meds and the first 350 euros or more (my fee is 850 euros per year).

With us, it is not allowed to be without insurance. Many no longer visit a doctor which means the money is wasted. If smoking is causing that many health issues smokers could pay more. Same for people with overweight, alcoholics, and those who join(ed) medical experiments. All those people who are never ill could pay less. I think that would be honest. Health insurance are sponsoring fast food restaurants. If they do that it says enough (sponsorship should be forbidden. The money paid is not meant for that.).

They do this indirectly through the tax on cigarettes. There is no other way. You can't introduce health insurance for smokers because every smoker would claim not to be a smoker and wouldn't pay into this expensive health insurance. The only way to do that is through the tax.
