INFATUATION vs LOVE
Infatuation and Love are both emotions that every human feel. Sometimes we are confused by these two words. Are we really in love or it is just infatuation?
First let us define what Infatuation and Love is.
INFATUATION – is the state of being completely carried away by unreasoning passion of love; addictive love.
LOVE – can be described as feeling of intense affection for another person.
Let just put this in one situation.
You met a girl at one shop. A girl with long straight hair, fair skin, cute face shape, cute smiles, all in all a beautiful girl. With one glimpse of her you say to your friend that “bro, I guess I’m in love”.
Let us evaluate the situation.
Is he really in love to that girl?
NO.
He’s just infatuated with that girl. Why?
Because infatuation occurs in a short period of time. It may start with physical attraction and may render excitement to be around a person.
Infatuation is weakened by time and separation whereas real love is strengthened by time and separation.
Infatuation, the reckless abandonment of what was once value (ghosting haha)
Love: faithfulness, loyalty, confidence.
Infatuation may be one-sided while love can be worked by two people who are really in love with each other.
Infatuation is temporary, but Love may continue throughout in time.
Infatuation is delusional. Not real.
Love is unconditional and the real deal.
Infatuation is now. Love is forever.
Infatuation, no label. Love does have label.
I think everyone should know if they are in love or infatuated because if we know the differences between these two, we won’t hurt ourselves and other people because of expectation that they could reciprocate the love or feelings we gave to them. At the first stage we must clear to ourselves what we really feel towards the person, so we won’t end up dead (haha joke) so we won’t end up with our hearts broken.
