Protecting our rights by legal means (How did I get the wedding hall in my neighborhood closed?)

About a year ago, I made a post on noise.cash about the wedding hall in my neighbourhood, which is causing great discomfort to the owners with loud music almost every day. I also expressed my discomfort on Twitter. I have complained about the wedding hall to the police department many times.

Ultimately, I researched the laws regarding loud music. I learned that in a house in the neighborhoods, music or any other type of noise should be at a level that does not disturb the house next door.

I took note of the laws on noise pollution. I sent an e-mail to all relevant institutions such as the Ministry of Environment and City, the city municipality, the metropolitan municipality, the police department, regarding the resolution of the inconvenience we experienced, including the articles of law.

Finally, the situation resulted in the closing of the wedding hall in my neighborhood a few months ago because it did not have a live music license.

In fact, although most of the owners around me were disturbed by the loud music and noise of the wedding hall, they thought that the problem could only be solved by collecting signatures from everyone in the neighborhood. But I have solved this problem without collecting even a single signature.

If you are a victim and you are right, you should know how to seek your rights through legal means. Citizenship is not just about voting. We must also learn to seek our rights appropriately.

Having worked in a job related to the security profession for many years, I learned how important it is to have enough knowledge about the law, our rights and human rights so that we can seek our rights.

Laws exist to protect citizens. Corporations are more knowledgeable about the law, but as citizens we should have enough knowledge too. Only in this way can we protect ourselves and our rights.

The following phrase I heard from someone years ago is very important: "Silence is acceptance."

However, we make a big mistake by being silent when we should speak and talking a lot when we should be quiet.

Having information enables us to protect our rights. However, it is one of our biggest problems as a society to talk all the time without knowing, to have an opinion without knowing, to act as if we are experts in everything we do not know.

To the extent that we admit our ignorance, we can have accurate information and ideas for the benefit of all.

This has nothing to do with participating in every protest, being anarchic. This is just to defend our rights by legal means when necessary. To take what is already our legal right with knowledge and effort.

If you are a victim and you want to get what you deserve, learn everything you can about it with determination. By defending your rights, you can be an honest, truthful and good person. That's the only way we can get what we deserve sooner or later. This is the best way to protect our rights. Learn, research, gain knowledge. But beware of propaganda and manipulative suggestions.

The better we equip ourselves with the right information, the better we can distinguish malicious and misleading information, and stay away from false information.
