HivePH | Onboarding Collaboration with Get Rugged Community
Friday 8:00 PM Manila Time the team from HivePh provided a short onboarding webinar to some users on the Get Rugged Community.
The webinar was done via their discord channel and was also streamed via Facebook Live. If you are interested to listen to the said webinar you can use the link here
While we are having a staff discussion, we asked why it is important to onboard people in Hive and why it should be us instead of others and we come up with the following answers.
Hive is too technical and the more that you dive deep, the more that you will know that it is hard to understand.
Users tend to get lost along the way, and retention isn't that huge for starters.
Pinoy kasi tayo, sino ba naman ang magtutulungan kungdi ang isat-isa diba?
The webinar was facilitated by Adam the HivePH lead. He shared some insights about Hive in general and then followed by the new staff Wittyzel that discussed the communities revolving around Hive. Witty just celebrated her 2nd month as a user in Hive and still learning the ropes with everything, but as she was able to grasp how everything works at an early time, she is somehow a great addition to the staff. The Arc discussed some games that are in Hive blockchain and told about the other alternatives to earn money not only by creating content but by also playing.
The rest of the staff were there including me answering some of the questions in chat as we want to ensure that the flow of discussion will not be interrupted. Since it is just a short crash course to Hive some of the questions that are too complex for the beginners are not addressed simply because we do not want them to feel exhausted and have too much information burden on their first day. We believe that the said information will be enough to go through the process and be able to use Hive without much complication. We mentioned that if they want to dig the rabbit hole further, try experiencing Hive first and then tap one of the staff for help if needed and we will be glad to be of help.
So how can someone be successful in Hive?
1. their innate skill for creating content prior to coming to hive
2. Their onboarder
3. their motivation to refine number 1 while making earning a secondary priority
4. and willingness to be sociable
#1 will be your pass to join the platform, users may drop by on your content from time to time if you are an amazing content creator. But being a superb one will not guarantee success it can be a good start though because still this is a social media account and you will need to be sociable to others. Even if you are not creating that much superb content, if you are a great communicator with others people will be supporting you along the way.
#2 isn't that much of a requirement but having someone like an onboarder can give you a boost too. Hive has a referral system wherein if you join the blockchain using the link of a Hive user, that means the referrer is somehow liable for the growth of the said account. I mean as someone who gave the link to register to this platform they are the ones responsible for teaching the new user what is Hive and what to do etc. They can give you some delegations of Hive power to make sure that you will be able to interact properly in the blockchain as you will need to have some Hive staked in your wallet to do some transactions such as creating a post, commenting etc. The onboarders are not paid but in every post that the new user created, they receive some part of the rewards after. Same with the affiliate stuff here in read.cash.
What if I don't have any onboarder what should I do then?
This is where the team assists, as we try to provide webinars and discussions on how they can be better in Hive. But we will never know who needed help until we are reached. The team tries to curate some posts and all but again until we got a message that someone needs some guidance that is the time that we jump in and help. There are times when we intervene but those are in a very few occasions such as possible issues / problems with the user that may arise. A good example is them being caught plagiarizing etc.
Still interested in using Hive?
I will suggest yes why not.
If you haven't created one yet and want to join and have me as an onboarder you can send me a message either through Facebook or discord also for the folks that I onboarded I have some programs and stuff that I do backend so they somehow able to get some other rewards too if they are active in Hive
Eto yata yong account na pwede imerge sa hive international? Jeansapphire already introduced it too. To more of your onboarding partners.
