I believe that each of you knows who Pippi Longstocking is and that you have read books, probably watched a movie. You already know that Pippi understands everything, knows everything and best of all, she comes up with crazy adventures. Pippi is strong. Pippi is brave and curious. Pippi is her boss. She lives alone, without adults and their rules. Pippi does not go to school but to adventures. Pippi has a suitcase full of gold and a head full of imagination. Pippi has a monkey, a horse and best friends, Anika and Tomi. Pippi is a favorite friend of millions of children around the world.

Do you know how the book "Pippi Longstocking" came about?

Nine-year-old Karin, the daughter of the writer Astrid Lindgren, was lying sick in bed. She told her mother, "Tell me about Pippi Longstocking." Everything else is history.

It was immediately clear to my mother that this story must be special, considering that the girl has such an unusual name. She indulged her imagination and began to invent adventures for this unusual heroine. Since Karin enjoyed those stories, her mother decided to publish a book about Pippi and give her to her daughter for her tenth birthday. She offered the manuscript to a Swedish publisher, but it was rejected on the grounds that the book would have a bad effect on children. Astrid reworked the text and sent it to a competition announced by another publisher (Raben & Sjogren). Mom won the first prize and the book was published. It was 1945.

It's been a long time since we saw her on small screens in a story that mixes reality and imagination, we believe that the recognizable actress' smile would immediately associate you with an unusual spotted girl, the most famous fictional character.

By the way, the real name of the actress is Catherine Inger Monica Nilsson, and she is currently 61 years old. Today, she lives in Stockholm and works as a secretary, and occasionally accepts a theatrical role. In 1975, she won the TP de Oro Award for "Most Popular Character" for her role as Pippi Longstocking, which many grew up with.

I was little when the Pipii diga carapa series was broadcast. she recorded my childhood. She was silly and naughty and a big liar. But one of the better series for children that is broadcast. I even asked my parents to buy me monkeys like Pippi has. and we started wearing colorful socks and ponytails
