Good evening to all, I know it's been late and I don't think what time I will finish this article of mine. It's 10:45 pm while waiting and looking up to my eldest son to finish his module I think of this.
When we are about to turn 18 it is called our debut, there's a feeling of excitement, joy, and some mixed emotions. Not to mention the preparations for our upcoming Debut. It was a great feeling, that you will wear a beautiful gown with all the shining, shimmering like in the fairy tale. The venue was filled with beautiful flowers, with a complete entourage of 18 candles, 18 treasures, and 18 gentlemen who will be dancing with you. But wait the story doesn't start here.
There is a guy named Theo, he is a son of a farmer his mother died by giving birth to him, his father never remarries and they enjoyed each other's company. Theo was a good-looking guy despite being a probinsyano he is tall, dark, and handsome.
Being a farmer's son, Theo knows that his father is getting older and later on he will no longer handle their farm. Theo is on his way to college the next school year. He is hesitant to live his father alone, and also they have no enough money to sustain his college education. He talked to his father and told him that he will not be going to college next school year, instead, he will look for a job and save first for his education, so that he will be not too far from home to see and help his father in the farm.
The plan of Theo is a success, he applied for jobs in different offices and all of it was approved (he is really lucky) but he chose to be an assistant of an event organizer. His job is to assist all the stuff on its belongings, including lifting, hanging, dragging, and so on. As the days passed, he manage to enjoy his job, and he have some friends and he got his first salary. He comes home every weekend and his father was happy that he like his job. Theo is a hard-working guy, he never complained that is why he gain lots of friends, Theo has a hidden talent and has never before shown it to the public, he is an artist, he has a gifted hand because he can paint, design dresses, sketch background and sometimes decorates the whole event.
His father was so proud of him and reminded Theo that he needs to finish his studies to have a degree so that people have more trust and confidence in him. Theo gets his father's advice, after a year he decided to go back to school while continuing to work part-time. He took up Fine Arts and he did well in the class, his friends at work also help him with the things he needed in his studies because it is really expensive to have a course like that.
Years passed and a few months before his graduation his father got sick. He was so worried that his father will not see him go up the stage to get his college diploma. He was so sad telling his friends and co-employee, all was feeling sad and they arrange a surprise party for Theo before his graduation. One of Theo's close friends who is constantly visiting his father has great news. Theo's father is recovering, and his friend wanted his father to be part of the surprise that they are planing. Theo was busy on his last project for his finals he just ask his friend to take care of his father for a while, but Theo have no idea.
After a week Theo is coming home, his friend told him to go home first and get some things for his father. He was riding a tricycle, as he is about to enter their house he noticed some familiar drawings hanging, he look back and others are hanging also. He told the driver to stop and paid the driver. Theo walks back and grabs one by one the drawings that he saw. It was the drawing of the Sailor Moon girls that he draw before when he was a kid. (Now you know the real gender of Theo?) Theo is gay, but he is not a girly gay, he still formal but you will notice he is gay. His father knew it from the start he never questioned him he just let Theo grow up to be formal and respectful. The drawings were kept by his father.
When he is about to arrive at their house, he heard a graduation sound then when he look outside their house it's full of decorations and saw his friends and officemate standing there, Theo cried with joy but he was thinking about his father. All of them hug and congratulate Theo, he is so thankful for all the effects they made.
Theo: I need to go to the hospital, you know my father is sick.
He didn't notice that his father was at the door standing, his friend told him to turn around and Theo run towards his father and hug him tight. They were both happy that all their sacrifice have a fruitful ending. They enjoyed the day and his friend was so happy for what Theo achieved, his friend played a song for both Theo and his father, and Theo was joking to his father that he never had the chance to dance with him when he was 18, then they dance together.
Theo's Debut was more than the lavish one. He fulfilled his dreams together with his father, he never complained nor regret all the hardship that they both experience. Now Theo manages his Event Production his father still lives on the farm and Theo comes home every weekend. Theo had the last dance with his father because they are both happy and fulfilled.
