In the past, human beings were attuned to their natural surroundings and relied on their instincts to survive. Today, however, we live in a very different world. We are disconnected from nature and its rhythms, and we no longer have to rely on our instincts to get by. While this change may seem like progress, it has come at a cost. We have become disconnected from our bodies and our intuition. We no longer trust our instincts, and this has led to a disconnect from our true selves.

It's no surprise that we don't trust our instincts anymore, given that it is an age where we are constantly surrounded by stories of cyberattacks and mass shootings.

We now live in a world where we are constantly bombarded with information and stimulation. This can be overwhelming and lead to sensory overload. It can also lead us to disconnect from our intuition or “gut feelings”. In the past, humans were more tuned into their surroundings and had to rely on their instincts to survive. Now, modern conveniences have made it so we no longer have to rely on our gut feelings to tell us what to do. We can Google the answer to any question we have, we have GPS to tell us how to get places, and we have a constant stream of entertainment at our fingertips.

These days, you can't trust your instincts without being paranoid. We have a constant fear of being hacked or threatened by a shooter just about everywhere these days. This is why we need to remember to take care of ourselves by putting in the effort to find out what makes us feel at peace, like learning more about our true selves.

Is there a difference between our true selves and our instinctual selves? The modern world has created an image of perfection that we feel we must live up to, but as humans, this is not possible. Our instincts can help guide us back to the true self that has been lost.

In the past few decades, there has been a strong disconnecbetweenom our instincts and what society deems as cool or desirable. This is because the world has been crafted into an image of perfection that most of us will never be able to fulfill to be someone worthwhile. Society imposes its ideas on what it means to be successful, but it’s up to each person whether they choose to follow society’s ideals or not.

Many people in society have not fulfilled their full potential. They don't connect with their true selves because they are playing games, on social media, or watching television.

The popularization of quick-fix solutions has led to a sense of entitlement which is harmful to human nature. If we do not restructure our thoughts then the cycle will repeat and the apocalypse will be inevitable.

I don't trust my gut feeling though, haha. But sometimes I just go with the flow, yet I think people's gut feeling is also from the mind, where intelligence is also the factor being to gut feelings.
