I dunno anything about defi but I think eth won't benefit if bitcoin price reduces because bitcoin is well known and if people see that the price has dropped by a lot they'll move to Bitcoin to try to buy and keep a good amount and that would leave ethereum unattended to which would cause a reduction in the ethereum price.
