How can problems at work not ruin your private life?

Stress at work, common or not?

Many people accept stress at work as a part of the working day. Some people develop or already have psychological mechanisms that minimize the effects of stress from work and do not significantly affect life as a whole. However, many are exposed to great stress because they suffer during most of the working hours, and often when the working hours pass. Stress at work is not something that cannot be solved and is accepted in itself.

How a person will deal with problems at work and stress depends mostly on his character, maturity, material circumstances, support of the environment, and even on the occupation in which he is engaged.

Poor work environment
A work environment in which the rules and evaluation of work are not clearly set, where workers mostly feel bad, is a bad work environment. These are often companies that are dedicated to collecting profits at any cost, where other companies and associates are not respected, as well as laws and regulations from labor law. Unfortunately, in our environment, such companies are not a rarity at all, narrative.A bad work environment can only be reserved for a certain part of the collective, say one office where interpersonal relationships are particularly bad. Whoever has the "luck" to find himself in the office with colleagues who are unprofessional, prone to quarrels and intrigues, must develop special strategies for survival in the company and keeping personal peace.

Aggression and belittling bosses
A very common case of a bad work environment is represented by managers and bosses who behave aggressively and underestimating. They often do not shy away from abusing and rigorously punishing employees they do not like. An important feature of these bosses and managers is subjectivity and selfishness.

They often do not shy away from abusing and rigorously punishing employees they do not like. An important feature of these bosses and managers is subjectivity and selfishness.

In such conditions, the worker generally does not have the right to rely on when or what (right) because little is respected in the company. It remains for him to develop tolerance, patience and resilience of spirit until he finds another job opportunity.

Disrespect for employees' rights

We are one of the countries in the world where workers' rights are most endangered. Sometimes due to bad legislation, and much more often due to non-compliance with rights by the employer (state and private companies). Most people have adapted to this fact and already know to a large extent what kind of violation of rights they can expect.

One thing is for sure, you should leave jobs where the law and workers' rights are not respected as soon as possible.

A job to take home

Carrying work home is one of the biggest problems in our work environment. When a person "finishes" with work, often long after working hours, there are still things (emails, messages, lists, lists… etc.) to do from home. This is especially evident in areas such as banking, marketing, construction, online commerce. Business owners and bosses usually justify this by pretending to do so themselves. Setting clear boundaries at the outset, when work begins, can mean a lot. The worker has the right to refuse all obligations that are not specified in the contract, but this requires very well-developed social skills.
A job without perspective

Quite a number of people, especially in smaller places, complain that they do work without perspective. Such jobs (popular slag) do not provide a person with any satisfaction other than mere survival. A person has no sense of accomplishment because he usually performs routine work that is difficult or he does not like. The only solution for jobs without perspective is to leave and find another job, which can sometimes require relocation.

Work-life balance

One of the most important things with a bad work environment is setting a distance, which will make it clear where your private life begins. In that sense, disclosing private data, about family, home and relationships with friends and relatives in the collective is not of interest. Once you bring out private data you do not have the option to withdraw it later. This information can be used by your colleagues and superiors to judge you and gossip about you. Set the limit of your privacy on time, so the stress at work will be a bit less.

Avoid participating in gossip and gossip from colleagues. Know that gossip, if it exists in a collective, will never bypass any person, not even you. That is why it is better to stay away from this unpleasant phenomenon that often betrays its inspirers.

Distancing yourself from colleagues who are causing problems with their unprofessional relationship is crucial. Distance does not mean that one should be rude, but not enter into polemics and communication in general, which is not necessary.

When work endangers health and private relationships…

Prolonged suffering of negative feelings towards colleagues and bosses, frustration and the feeling that you cannot run away from work are the introduction to a number of psychosomatic diseases. When symptoms such as insomnia, frequent headaches, stomach upset, stomach pain, loss of appetite, a lump in the throat or thyroid problems appear, the job begins to seriously endanger your health.Even then, many people are not able to stop everything, resign and find another job. It is simply not possible if you have a "permanent" job, on which your and your family's existence depends. You may simply be suffering because you are waiting to repay a loan or retirement years. There can be many reasons.

The most valuable change is internal!

The fact is that we often cannot change the work environment and other business circumstances, the only thing we can change is our attitude towards work and problems at work. Often we can and must change only ourselves!

f you feel great and long-lasting emotional tension caused by unpleasant events and stress at work, it is time to seek the help of a psychological counselor. It is the most reliable way to get out of the vicious circle of stress at work and the consequences it brings with it, which we are forced to accept as an integral part of it.

Stress at work is inevitable, no matter what kind of work it is. I believe that everyone, to some extent, felt it on their own skin. Only in such situations, a person must remain strong, and try to eliminate that stress in the most painless way, so as not to affect his health.

It all depends on what environment you find yourself in, otherwise every job has its own weight, stress. For now, I think they experience the most stress in the store.

Stress at work is not so big deal like when you have to pay bills and you don't earn. That is much bigger problem.
