MetaMask Introduces PayPal Integration for Purchasing and Transferring Ethereum

When you are new to crypto and you want to buy any cryptocurrency, the first thing that seems difficult to you is to transfer your fiat currency and buy crypto. You need to learn how to use crypto exchange and connect your account to buy crypto.

MetaMask makes it easier by introducing PayPal integration for purchasing Ethereum. If you have Ethereum in Paypal, you can transfer that to Metamask. Currently, this feature is available only for some selected US users. It will open to other users soon.

You have to use Metamask mobile wallet to do that. You can purchase crypto without any hustle. It will help to onboard users into the Web 3.0 ecosystem. When you are familiar with something, and you can use that to do something new, that becomes easy for you.

People who never buy any cryptocurrency and are interested to buy and explore the Web 3.0 ecosystem, they can do that easily. You get used to using cryptocurrency, so it becomes easy for you. But when you try to explain crypto to other people and show them how to use it, they might lose interest if the whole process seems complicated.

In spite of what we see in the current crypto market after the FTX collapse, people are embracing cryptocurrency. People transfer their crypto from centralized crypto exchanges to their wallets where they hold private keys. That's a great move.

Cryptocurrency is here to stay and there is no doubt about that. If any institution or entity does not see this shift and stays as it is, it will become irrelevant faster than you can imagine. MoneyGram, the global digital peer-to-peer payments company, allows its users to buy, sell and hold cryptocurrency via its mobile app.

It is clear that more people will get involved in cryptocurrency. If they don't give any services in crypto, they might fail to retain their user base. We will see more initiatives to help people use crypto and explore what Web 3.0 can offer.

MetaMask will take a 1% service charge on purchases as well as users have to pay PayPal charges. MetaMask's PayPal integration is not available in the browser extension now. According to Lorenzo Santos, MetaMask Product Manager, it will be available in the next quarter.
