Another Terrifying Tropical Storm that hit Luzon
Exactly 13 years ago on September 26, 2009, Luzon was hit by tropical storm, Ondoy. There were a lot of victims who died and injured that time. It was really a nightmare for all and it would be an eye opener for us on how important our nature are and that we shouldn't destroyed it. But, some of us didn't listen and take it seriously so that's why we experienced a heavy landslides before.
It was same that happened now, we didn't learned from our past. The flood water was so high and many people were stay in their roof while others stay in their houses keeping their material things and themselves safe.
Let me share with you some photos of the situation in the last two days.
Before midnight, there were a lot of people already asking for help to be rescued. The water was rising quickly and they have been stranded in their house. This from our other baranggay that has been hit badly by the typhoon.
These are the people who has been stayed in their roof because the water keeps rising and they are waiting for the rescue to arrive. The childrens are with their parents and imagine what they feel in this terrifying situation. They must be really scared as they were near from drowning.
Also, there's a family who have got their house burned in fire. They can't shout and asked for help because the water was already high, thanks to their neighbors who did it for them. Thankfully, no one of them got hurt, but all their assets got burned.
It was 1 am in the morning when I took this photo. My family and I didn't get a proper sleep because we're monitoring the water level. We also put the things in our house into a high places to not get wet, especially our important documents. The water in the back of our house was above my legs and when it entered inside it was above our knee.
Also, we didn't forget about our dogs and cat so we put them on the top of a table because we also don't have a choice as the floor was already reached by the flood. One if them accidentally fell in the water but thankfully I got quickly pulled her up.
This was taken earlier as we finished cleaning our stuffs that has been covered by the mud and got wet. The aftermath was really hard to clean but still I am beyond thankful and grateful that we are safe.
