Husband and I finally got some time off to be with each other without the children. Thank you parents for helping to take care the boys. We went to Muito Bom! Brazilian BBQ for dinner whereby the waiters would come out one by one to your table to cut for you the meat. I had never eat so much meat before. After on-going serving, I got to signal the waiter 'stop' sign. Burping good! I especially love the sirloin, beef skewer and picanha.
β½Anyone watching the final? Tonight is special. The boys and I want to join the husband since it is the final. So here we are, watching the final at cafe of my husband's friend. He opened it till late for this purpose and set up the projector too. Go go go!
We were at a restaurant called The Travelling Duck for husband's birthday family dinner. They served really great roasted London duck which they called it as "wagyu duck". Succulent, smokey goodness, fresh duck meat. Delicious.
We also ordered their curry fish which was highly recommended as well. I must say the curry was super tasty, good amount of fish, French beans, and tofu puffs in the claypot.
Happy birthday to my husband. β₯οΈβ₯οΈβ₯οΈ
We went further away from where we stayed yesterday. About 40 minutes drive to deliver burger patties, and then we hang out at a coffee shop for some drinks.
I saw a lady eating curry noodle, I couldn't resist and ordered one for myself. Supposed to keep the tummy empty for durian at night but somehow, I just ordered the curry noodle. I chose rice vermicelli noodle instead of the usual yellow noodle.
No regret! Very delicious. With squid, chicken, tofu puff, fish cakes and fried tofu skin. The curry soup was slurpy good.
Anyone love curry here?

7 days didn't make noise here??? π₯΄
Real life had been busy because it is school holiday now. Also, coincidental, all the son's hospital appointments fall on this month.
How is everyone doing? Good so far?
Today, I tried out the small electric pot I bought some time back to cook potatoes carrots and minced pork stew. I bought this to let the eldest son cook his own instant noodle whenever needed.
I must say the quality is good for the price. Only RM15. It heats up fast and it has the non-stick material (maybe lower grade one).
Rainy seasons recently. Everyone takes care.
Good afternoon, awesome people. Jansen just done his lung test appointment. He needed to use his mouth to blow reallyyyy hard into the tunnel and blowed out as longgggg as he could till almost fainted that type. This is for the machine to measure his lung volume. He hopes there will be no more another lung test appointment. Quite challenging for him.
Then, we are now at a mall nearby for our early lunch. Jansen and I are having 'wantan' noodle with roasted chicken and husband is having his Hainanese chicken chop with fries. We also ordered a cup of iced milk tea. Let's chill abit.
Midweek already!!!
1.2kg of chicken feet!!!
Youngest son saw and said "Hmmm...delicious..."
Eldest son saw and exclaimed, "Grosssss!!!"
Haha. So you are team Youngest Son or team Eldest Son. My youngest son, myself and husband love love love chicken feet.
We simmered this over low fire for 90 minutes, added in ginger, star anise, bay leave, soy sauce, oyster sauce, shaoxing wine. We skipped the rock sugar and dark soy sauce because our dark soy sauce contained sugar. Just trying to cut down sugar.
Now, I am eating the chicken feet as early dinner. Lol. They say it is natural collagen, so why not just feast on it. π
Such nostalgic feeling. When I was young, once a week, father would bring us out for chicken feet supper. I miss my parents.

Good morning, another Monday. Another week of living life! =)
Eldest son has no school today because his drum exam by International examiner is scheduled at 11am. He is slightly nervous.
We will eat our 'siumai' and ready to go soon soon soon. His drum teacher asked him to arrive earlier.
This 'siumai' is from my parents, all the way from hometown. I love hometown siumai.
Y'all have a great Monday ya.
Happy Sunday, Noisers!
I am now at church, Christmas tree is up. Who else love December? Time really flies, right? Soon will be 2023.
Let us live the day with gratefulness and thankfulness. This year had been some up and down and I am thankful we walked it through till this day.
Have an awesome Sunday!
Good afternoon, everyone okay? I am feeling so sleepy now at 4:30pm. Waiting for my son to finish his drumclass. So thinking to be here at Noise to kill time. π
Sometimes really do not what to post right? Anyway, Jansen is still recovering and has yet to come to full fledge eating, so I was cracking my head preparing variety for him. Bought from store a soup rice noodles, to be shared with Jansen. I also cooked porridge and pumpkin soup for him. Each type he was able to eat abit.
As for my eldest son, he was having BurgerLab beef burger with big amount of crispy fries. My husband cooked his own keto diet food or carnivore diet.
I am going to drink coffee now.. Hope everyone is doing fine.
Good morning from my side. Let's start our day with a smile, shall we? The only way to turn a frow right side up is by smiling. A free therapy indeed.
Life is full of uncertainties. Challenging time for many. Let us look up, pray and know that God is with us. Look at the mirror and smile and say "You can do it!".
I think the eggs smile at me too. π
How is my hairdo for the new month, Noisers? π Do I look like a sun?
The little man Jansen wanted to try something soft for his breakfast yet he did not want plain bread today. So I cooked scrambled egg, added more milk so that the eggs would be more watery, since doctor recommended him to have softer food during recovery phase from the bowel obstruction. 4 eggs + 4 tablespoons of milk, cheese and low heat twirl fry over butter. Very yummy! Glad that he could eat some. The remainder for me and my husband.
Have a sunny great dayππ
After 5 days of tube-feeding, today Jansen is able to eat and drink by mouth, although little by little, it is a great achievement. According to him, after 5 days not using mouth, the chewing muscles and swallowing muscles feel so weird. Something we are not aware of because we use the muscles daily, eat eat eat, drink drink drink.
He had lost alot of weight. 2.5kg in 5 days. Hope can gain some weight again.
How is your Wednesday?
I am still on hourly tube-feeding my youngest son. It is Day 4 now and I start to feel tired.. Thank God that Jansen by today can tolerate feeds within gagging and vomiting.
I can't think of what to cook except something really simple. So I took out a can of baked beans, added eggs, remainder bacons in fridge that must be used today, potatoes and carrots inside. One pot budget lunch today. We eat this with rice. Luckily my husband and eldest son love baked beans.
Okay, lunch is ready!!!
I told my husband that I want to eat high protein, high fat and low carb today, just for a try. So he cooked these for me. Bacon and black pepper chicken sausages. He said there were sausages left so he cooked all. He himself had sausages and some eggs. All cooked with butter. Whenever he was the one cooked, I would eat happily because it would be tasty. This was definitely high protein, high fat and low card lunch! Yumssss!
Anyway, I couldn't finish my lunch, perhaps the body is not used to so much meat. π
Glorious Sunday. Today, I am not able to go to church because my youngest son, Jansen is having his complications at his intestines again. Thank God for live streaming.
I had soft-boiled eggs and a cup coffee to fuel the day. What about you? Have you taken your meal of the day? Have a great great Sunday, Noise family.
Finally, my Aunt's wound on her wrist is well. I told her to rest but she said she wanted to cook for us as she had been resting for few weeks already. She cooked for us fried prawns and fried chicken fillet, and also lived vegetables consisting of cauliflower, tomatoes, potatoes, and mushrooms. I so missed her food so these were a treat for me. Yummy lunch!
For dinner, husband made for us homemade 'pizza'. He used frozen prata as based, spread a layer of pasta sauce, followed by a layer of cheese, then salami, then another layer of cheese again on top. Another pizza was with chicken sausage instead of salami. Baked both pizza oven and they turned out super delicious pizzas. The son said he won't need to order from restaurant anymore. π
Husband bought back 4 salmon fish heads, because there was a markdown price at 9pm before the supermarket closed.
The best way to use them is to cook salmon fish head. I cooked the basic soup with carrots and potatoes. Firstly, stir fry onions and garlic till aromatic and fragrant, adding some salt and pepper and smoked paprika. Then add the carrots and potatoes to mix together. Water is added, followed by chicken stock. Boil for 30 minutes till everything is soft. Last would be adding in salmon to boil for another 10 minutes and cooking cream. Veryyyyy yummy. We eat this with pasta.
[Indian mutton soup & Satay]
It was rare night.
The boys were asleep. Husband and I decided to go out for supper. πππ We went to 'mamak'.
Due to cold night, we ordered a mutton soup. This one from NZ mamak was and Indian mutton soup and was really heavily spiced. Just a few sips of it, I felt warmth in my body. So delicious. Very aromatic and fragrant. Super love all the spices and herbs in it.
Also ordered 10 sticks of chicken 'satay', a popular street food here made of marinated meat grilled on bamboo skewers, usually served with dipping peanut sauce, cucumbers and onions.
We had a good chilling relax time over good food and hot milk tea. Didn't know we could chit chat a lot for hours.
Tonight is instant noodle night. I was busy whole day decluttering every corners of house so we ended with instant noodles.
The boys had these special PokΓ©mon Ichiban ramen gifted by their uncle. Not a cheap cup noodles, so they are blessed to get it. So cute and definitely tasted great too because they finished all. I actually did not prefer them drinking all the soup but in a blink of an eye, all gone!!!
I myself had Spicy Korean dry noodle, with added egg with two egg yolks (lucky me!) but... Ahhhh.. So spicy that I drank alot of water.
But instant noodles or ramen is our comfort food. Who else love instant noodles? Pancit canton?
What's for lunch? Today, I packed economy fried rice vermicelli and Japanese tofu minced pork to go with the broccoli carrots I stirred fry at home. We all don't feel like eating rice but still need some carbs, so simple rice noodle is a good choice. Really hope everyone is doing fine considering the world's and the crypto's financial state is abit wobbly. Take care and may we find good opportunities to earn for our living.
Do you keep the reminder rice for the next day? Or you throw away the rice? I love to keep them till next day in the fridge and use for fried rice.
Here, I used whatever I have in the fridge to cook fried with bacon, pumpkin and eggs. Super fragrant from the bacon oil, and garlicy from the garlic oil, and sweetness from pumpkin and of course eggxellent golden fried. First time I actually felt my cooking is good. π
Yayyyy!!! I had done my part as responsible citizens. Then I went and explored the school abit because this might be the school my son will go when he is 13 years old. I love that there are lots of greens around the buildings (I show in the photos). Even a small pond with lily pads. Quite a big school.
Now, we are all excited for the result of who will win the election. Dup-dup. Dup-dup. Heart beating.
Election day today and all of us are being responsible citizens, coming out to vote. I am queueing up now for my turn to vote. Hope the best win and really have heart and passion to serve and to love the country and the citizens. π―β₯οΈ
Finally, my family and I got to visit Superluna, a cafe where my brother-in-law @helyanwe works at, together with @hooiyewlim. We ordered Norwegian smoked salmon bagel and cheesesteak sandwich. We really love the food there. It somehow opened up Jansen's appetite and he ate a lot. We also received truffle fries on the house. I ordered the matcha latte but was eyeing at my husband's dirty latte. π
I love fast and easy cook like this.
First photo is steamed slices of mackarel with fermented sweet beans, lots of ginger to get that fragrant ginger oil, some soy sauce and sesame oil and Shao Xing wine too. Super yummy. I love the sauce, especially.
And simple broccoli carrots omelette.
Lunch is ready, today I got to cook wayyyy earlier. We love to eat these with rice, our staple food.
Another wedding luncheon of my brother who just got married. This time was for his friends and colleagues, but we as family joined too. They looked so so awesome, aren't they? And they were surprised to find out an art gift from friends who only knew the look of dress of the bride, but she managed to draw out everything almost similar to the scene of the day (swipe to second photo to view). She had not come to the place before to make any survey but her art coincidentally matched. So beautiful art of the couple. Once again, I wish them happily married. β€οΈβ€οΈ And may God bless them in all their future endeavours.
Today woke up early at 6am because a friend of ours wanted to give us a nice breakfast treat of wonton noodle. He ordered medium size plate of noodle for all of us, and honestly the amount was huge. Myself, and my children couldn't finish our portion and we needed to pack the remainder home. The wonton noodle was veryyyyy delicious. Springy noodle with awesome bite, the charsiu aka BBQ pork belly was so well-charred with that glazed sweetness, a balance of meat part and fat part. Soft and juicy. Yum. Our friend ordered for us fried dumplings and roasted pork belly too. Everything was best best!!! Needless to say, the wontons in the small bowl of soup were delicious too. I would love to bring my parents here one day.
