I have noticed that some of you loved the recent article I've published so I've decided to publish another part of the question, What is music to you?
Music became a part of me. I think I can't live a day without hearing music, or singing a song. It just ordinary and normally comes out of my mouth whenever I'm enjoying the moment.
The Philippines is known to be a country of great talents and flavorful musicality, and proof to this is the indie folk-pop band, Ben and Ben. This 9-piece band is taking over the country’s music industry by storm because of their songs that touch the hearts of their listeners. They are the geniuses behind the songs "Kathang Isip" and "Maybe the Night". There is more to this band that makes them great and different from any other band.

I have covered this song maybe a quite times - in wesing, in guitar or in piano. This is just to catchy and meaning are so deep. (I wish I can share my covers to you HAHAHA)
Translated to English:
"Isn’t this what you want? Oh I’m leaving now…"
It's hard to push yourself to someone who doesn't even want your existence. It's aches our hearts to know that someone don't want us anymore - that those happy memories we have with them will just be a memory for each other. Partings are never so easy, but remember that TRUE LOVE COMES FROM THE RIGHT TIME, WITH THE RIGHT PERSON.
I think this is my most favorite song of the Ben and Ben. It doesn't just give emphasize to love, but also the authenticity and longing of emotions for some hearts to capture.
"Leaves will soon grow from the bareness of tress, and all will be alright in time"
We always dream of happy endings. Our concept of love is molded by the Disney movies, fantasies, fairy-tales, and Romeo and Juliet - that love can always have a happy ending, if we are in the right person. But true love is not just about happy endings, it is also about forgiveness.
The end of the chorus of the song says that "You never really love someone, until you learn to forgive". It's all about forgiveness but not forgetting.
A slap for the teenagers. I'm not saying all teenagers, but mostly. I don't have any issue with the early love teams 'cause I also experienced it. However, based from what I have seen, they just treat love us a game, they will love for the sake that they have someone they can call their partners.
Translated to English:
"Love when you're ready, not just for tripping"
Loving someone is not a joke.
For Guys,
If you're just courting a girl because of their appearance, it's not love, it's lust.
If you're just courting a girl because of a bet, it's just for fun.
If you're just courting a girl because she's rich, it's just a material love.
For Girls,
If you answered YES because of their appearance, it's lust
If you answered YES because of a bet, it's just for fun.
If you answered YES because she's rich, it's just a material love.
Boys and girls are just the same. No one should take advantages of someone's superiority or assets. Love because you love that person.
Most people says that past is past. But why do we keep on digging the past? How ironic.
"Wounds in the past will eventually heal, and all will be alright in time"
The past is the reason of our current lives. The past impacts our present every day, whether it's in how we approach certain situations, or how we emotionally react to what people say. But, wounds in the past will eventually heal, and all will be alright in time. Don't bother your wounds today, remember, YOUR WOUNDS TODAY WILL DETERMIN YOUR FUTURE.
Different songs carries different meaning and emotions. You may not notice it, but once you do, you will always have the "Last Song Syndrome" (where you get stuck in one song all the time). Music also changes our moods, relaxes our minds, express our thoughts and ease the problems.

Ben and Ben has really good music. I am not a fan of them, but I like to listen to the songs they make. :)
