Mother's Day

Mother's Day is celebrated every second Sunday of the month of May. But did you know that Mother's Day is really celebrated on December? Yes, both Mother's and Father's Day really fall on the first monday of December.

The moment a woman becomes pregnant, she is now called a mother. And the moment she gives birth, all her priorities will change, her family most especially her child will be her number one priority. Her bags that are full of make ups when going out will now be filled will her child's stuffs, instead of buying new clothings for her, she will now use the money for her child's needs. For every mother's motto is that, "It is okay if I have nothing for my own as long as I can fulfill my child's needs will mean everything to me."

Being a mother is not easy, from the moment she becomes pregnant, she faced lots of difficulties, imagine she carried you for 9 long months. She experienced lots of morning sickness that sometimes she can't even eat. She even have a hard time on sleeping, with your weight inside her, she don't know if she will sleep by sideways or what. There are big changes that is happening with her physical appearances, face looks bloated, feet also starts to bloat, etc.

During her labor, she felt a lot of pain. They say, from the moment a womangives birth, her one feet is already 6 feet below the ground, that's how difficult giving birth is. No matter what kind of delivery it is, whether on a normal delivery or on ceasarian section, both has its advantages and disadvantages.

Normal delivery is painful but it is the easiest way to heal your wounds while on ceasarian section, a woman can not really feel any pain or only minimal pain during the labor but after the labor, it will took her long periods of time from recovering, even years,

they hate it when the season is cold because it triggers the pain in their cuts during this time. Others also experience this so called "postpartum disease" which is not a joke. And once someone a woman was attacked by it, this will cause her anxiety and depression.

With the difficulties they had been through, every child should love and give importance to their mother.

Importance of a mother

Mothers were our first teacher and they are the one that molds us to be the best we can be. They guide us in everything we do.

They are our number one supporter and the first one to believe that her child can do it.

They give us everything that we need.

She wakes up early in the morning to prepare breakfast for the family.

One good quality of a mother is that they never give up easily most especially when it comes to their child because one of their source of strength comes from their child. She even cries alone when everything seems so dark but gets up stronger and better.

Difficulties of being a mother

Once her baby is sick, the first one to be blame is the mother, when in fact no mother wants her child to get sick. A mother would even wish that she should have gotten sick, not her child and only if she can take away her child's sickness, and will get it and take it as long as her child will feel better.

How to celebrate Mother's Day?

Greeting your mother just by saying, "Happy Mother's Day" will simply makes them happy.

A simple greeting card is also okay if you doesn't have a budget to buy her gifts.

A handwritten letter is the sweetest form of letter, it will really make your mother happy and I swear, she will keep that forever and will keep on reading it over and over again.

A bouqet of flowers will make your mother's heart feels like there are butterflies on her stomach.

Eating out, or eating just inside your house

Having a complete family even during this time will make your mother happy. Especially if her child has already his/her own family, will mean a lot if her child comes and visits their home to celebrate with your mother.

My mother's Love (my story)

I am totally grown lady now, can already support myself. I am working but is living away from our house, I only go home once in a while because of pandemic but before, I go home every weekends. I go home on Fridays and leave our house on Mondays. My mother wakes up early morning on Mondays to prepare my bath and my food for "baon" so that when I wake up, everything is now prepared. Yes, she does prepares our food and wakes up early even when me and my siblings are still young but doing this now, since I am now full grown and can do this on my own, she still voluntarily does this when I am home. And I consider myself lucky for having a mother like her, not everyone is as lucky as I am because there are also mother that doesn't care for their child. I am not pertaining to all, but only for a few.

Let us keep in mind that even though it is not mother's day, always treat your mother with respect and will keep on showing that you love her. Always love your mother because a mother always loves her child/children for no matter what.

For ladies out there, before entering into a married life, make sure you can do everything, being married is not just all about happiness. There are it's ups and downs. Married life is not all about just like those fairy tales that lived a happily ever after. Once you become a mother, there is no turning back.

Yes, there will be no perfect mother and so we (children) are but they will do everything for the betterment, happiness of their child and hoping that every child also will always remember the sacrifices of their mother.

Lucky enough are those children who still have their mother to celebrate mother's day with. So cherish every moment that you have with your mother, no one is immortal. Life is short as they say.
