“Huh?”
“How are you doing?”
“Huh?”
The radio is about to sing when Joj stretch her arms and wake up from her 3-hour sleep and notices an unusual messages to her account. The day is approaching with bunch of activities and due-to-day tasks so that Joj is still stunned at the absence of her senses. To introduce her, Joj is a freshly employee and beginner in her new job as a field engineer. She is a 24-year-old fresh graduate, family-oriented, diligent, talented, cheerful, and cold-hearted woman when someone is interested to her. Joj is supposed to be graduated 2 years ago, she chose to have work first to finance the needs of her father whose diagnosed with kidney failures. She prioritizes herself and her family because she is the breadwinner and lots of responsibilities are being hold by her two hands. Joj is a kind of woman whom not interested in romance, fling or something that talks about relationship because she finds it idle away time and no room for entertaining someone although there are some who are interested to know her. She is cold-hearted because....

5 years ago, Joj met her first love in a certain occasion with her friends. It was an overnight celebration of victory because all of them were graduated and about to cross different paths individually. Heina, her friend introduced one group of people and her cousin, Benj. They sang, danced, talked, laughed and so on. The celebration went well and everyone was totally enjoyed the night. After couple of weeks, Heina and Joj had a short conversation:
“Hoy, nga pala, type ka raw ni Benj. Crush ka raw niya. Nahihiya sayo sabihin hahahaha”
“Luh, Sira. Wag kang mang-trip hahahahaha”
“Oo nga, hindi ako nagbibiro. Tanong nga nang tanong sakin about sayo. Send ko convo namin. ”
Heina sent the screen shots of their convo and Joj did not believed even if she read the whole conversation but she was a bit shocked and nervous that time.
Benj is the class valedictorian way back 2012, has a sort of humor, timid, kind, tall, chubby and his looks are quite average than usual. He is also from a good family with a short influence in their hometown.
In the midst of the night, Joj is purely aiming to accomplish her assigned works when her phone suddenly beeped.

The night have became more silent, her eyes stilled in nothingness, and the only sound that dominates the night is her heart beat. The shock runs along her entire system and nervousness is uncontrollable. Joj comes across to the laptop to finish her works and she suddenly remembered the conversation she and Heina had. While busy in typing, she can’t focus because the message and friend request are circling over her head but she continues to work in order to compile it for the presentation. Hours had passed before she accepts the request and open the message. “Hello, Joj. Ang sarap mo palang kasama, funny and masaya. I am hoping that we can still catch each other. Ingat lagi.”
This message hits Joj’s consciousness that there’s someone who will turn her cold heart into something that has little excitement.

It is really fascinating that when someone catches our attention, it might lead to transforming ourselves over the things that we used to. Do not get much into your emotions. Otherwise, take risk. This story is mainly pertaining to the first conversation above that is why I started this article showing those convos.
