The Red Cross Zrenjanin has been in the humanitarian mission for 140 years The Red Cross Zrenjanin has existed and worked for 140 years, like few other institutions in our city. A significant jubilee for the Red Cross and for our city will be solemnly marked on Thursday, October 22, at 6 pm, at the National Theater "Toša Jovanović". - We planned for the whole year to be marked by this great jubilee. However, due to the well-known situation, we will mark it with a ceremony in the theater, with respect to all prescribed epidemiological measures. Although the situation we are in prevented us from celebrating the jubilee as we imagined, we were all reminded of the importance of the Red Cross. She put us in the Red Cross for an exam, which I believe we successfully passed and showed that we are the best when needed - says Aleksandra Tanasijević, secretary of the Red Cross Zrenjanin. The monograph "Tradition of Humanity - 140 Years of the Red Cross Zrenjanin" will be promoted at the ceremony. The authors of the monograph are Filip Krčmar, Aleksandra Tanasijević and Vesna Karavida. - This monograph is a pledge and a signpost for future generations. It recorded important and significant events, not only for the Red Cross of Zrenjanin, but also for the city itself. And of course, there are all the good people in it, without whom even the Red Cross would not have survived for 140 years - Tanasijević points out. According to the organizers' idea, part of the photographs from the monograph will be exhibited on billboards in front of the National Museum.

The people who work and volunteer at the Red Cross are exceptional and humane people!
I don't really know a single Red Cross action in the last couple of decades. Apart from children's competitions, they are nowhere to be found when we collect humanitarian aid for poor families. I was disappointed when they asked me to take all my clothes for dry cleaning and that the usual washing is not enough. I called a taxi and sent all those boxes and bags to the Institution for accommodating adults "Male Pcelice". People were overjoyed and grateful for such a gesture because they desperately needed clean and preserved clothes.
Generous people always have a price! And that price is not paid in money! It's paid with love and unity! That is quite treasure! And can't be stolen or shared! It is in them!
