The Game Goes On

Jeremy was starting to enjoy the RPG that he decided to try for the very first time. He was able to do the basics and got accustomed to the controls. He was also able to advance the level of his character Sakura12345 and he can now do many things in the game.

He decided to proceed to a nearby town and to some new quests.

He noticed on the chat panel that there are some players gathering up for a party to enter into a dungeon and fight an unknown boss. There are some players interested as he discerned from the back and forth of messages. Jeremy wanted to join the party so he went where the players are gathered.

With his in-game character, Jeremy moved around and looked at the characters of the players talking about a party. The group was a mix of male and female characters. At a glance, their equipment and their costumes are decent enough and as he hovered the mouse over each character, their levels were also of decent caliber.

That's the reason why he didn't hesitate to accept the party invitation when it was sent to him. The party was built and they were ready to go.

At the same time, all of the players in the party went into a cave and after the loading screen was done they were inside a dungeon. The party leader sent a request to all the members to open their voice chat. Jeremy clicked 'yes' although he decided to remain silent and just listen to the other players in the party.

The leader spoke.

"Tank first. Let's move in formation."

The small masculine voice was familiar to Jeremy. Suddenly, the character of the leader has a face. The face of Junjun came to his mind. He felt that the voice belongs to his classmate Junjun.

"Hey! Four-eyes! Who died and made you a leader?"

A female voice joined in the banter and once again, Jeremy got the feeling that he knows that girl. It sounded like it was Mari. And the way she bit off the party leader's head was just a dead giveaway.

"I still don't know how to use my spells right. Let me try this."

The mage character then sent out an explosion in front of the team and killed several minions.

And again, the sweet yet innocent voice was also familiar to his ears. He pictured that the mage was Elucia. Somehow, someway, he can picture the mage with Elucia's golden hair and equip with her ample bosoms.

"Whatever guys. Just move forward. And Elucia, hold off your horses. Your spells could do us damage also."

And that was another voice he could recognize anywhere. The cold yet authoritative tone was unique to Momo.

Jeremy closed his eyes and shook his head. What a coincidence that the bunch he joined in were his classmates. That's just too much. He remained silent and listened to the continued banter of the group.

Even though their teamwork was all over the place, they were able to slay monsters left and right and they were able to reach the boss floor of the dungeon. With the help of the potions and the healing ability of Momo, they managed to reach the top even with their uncoordinated plays.

The boss was summoned in front of them and the surrounding grounds collapsed making it impossible to escape. They were now in a platform suspended in the air and the giant monster with two long horns agitated in front of them.

The battle commenced.

The boss dealt the first blow and knocked on the ground sending most of them away. Jeremy's character stood his ground absorbing much of the damage.

"Hey look Momo, that character, Sakura12345 looks a lot like you. Hair, boobs and all."

The remark came from Junjun.

"Shut up!"

Jeremy held his breath. It was now impossible for him to speak up because he was afraid that they will think that he patterned his character from Momo.

Momo cast a healing spell on everyone and everyone joined in on the attack. They simultaneously attacked the monster and they all dodged when the monster tried to hit back.

Everything was going well and they managed to lower the monster's HP in half. And with that, the monster's attack pattern was altered. It went berserk. All of them were sent flying when the monster roared and blew balls of flame from its mouth.

Their HPs were immediately depleted and Momo cast more healing spells but before she could even finish the monster geared up for another attack.

Jeremy stood up and enabled a skill that will make him the target of the monster for a few seconds. He managed to use a large healing potion so his HP was near full again. Momo took the chance to heal everyone else again.

Junjun and Mari charged in and attacked the monster with their powerful melees.

"Hmm.. Elucia, what are you doing?"

Momo asked the girl who was doing some incantation and a magic circle appeared below her character.

"I'm gonna use this new skill I unlocked. I don't know what it does though."

The magic circle grew even bigger and it took place all over the platform. And in a blink of an eye, a meteor shower started. Molting boulders came down and destroyed everything that there is.

And that includes the players inside the area of effect.

The boss was killed and so was everyone else aside from Elucia.

"Hey, guys. I won."

She exalted and cheered with her victory. In the end, she got all the loot and the reward since she was the only one alive to claim them.

"Damn you! I'm logging out!"

One by one they logged out. It was now just Jeremy and Elucia.

"That was nice Elucia. Good game."

"Wait. Who are you? Why do you know my name?"

Elucia asked and there's an obvious worrying tone in her voice.

"oh no.. wait it's me..."

"nooo."

Elucia then logged out immediately.

"Damn."

The next day, everyone was talking about the game where they were gathered at Momo's desk which was next to Jeremy's.

He held the urge to join in in the conversation. And he was thankful he did.

"I am not playing that game anymore, I think I was hacked. That weird player that looked like Momo knows my name. It's so creepy."

Elucia said and Jeremy shuddered in the corner.

"Yeah, that's so creepy."

Everyone agreed.
