It seems that the flower that I have shared to you the other day noise friends, loves a dryer weather for look, I got really excited to see numbers of it on one little plant. One take, six flowers! I had to make sure that the dog won't lift its one hind leg up on these beauties. I'm afraid the smiling minnie root flowers may frown at us the moment the deed is done, haha.
We had a very clear blue sky today, it's probably why these flowers are blooming but not the rain lily...Any weather has its own beauty obviously.

After a few days without seeing the blue sky, today we have seen it finally. And you know what its effect. All positive. After a very wet weather, somehow I want the earth to get dryer. It's exhausting when all is wet. So even the sun went to its hottest today, I am not complaining. I actually appreciated it for a change, haha. I managed to do my walk, yeah, here and there with no worries of getting wet...I hope you guys are having a pretty nice weather as well.

Weather was not good today since yesterday but still happy enough that it's better than expected. Forecast was worst so when the rain stops for a bit that's already like a treat but then of course it will start to rain again. Hoping for better weather tomorrow for I am missing my walk although I managed to take my brother's dog out that was not enough because like I said rain comes and goes. Sad state our world is facing right now. While we are facing too much rain, other places are getting heatwave. Neither of this situation is pleasant. So yeah, what else can we hope for but for the better, right? But well, let's see how...

The versatility of avocado. We can enjoy it savory as great additional to salads, spread on toasts with salt and pepper, dips, etc. and we can enjoy it as dessert. I haven't tried making it yet but avocado, chocolate mouse sounds divine. Avocado smoothie tastes magnificent. And this simple frozen avocado in my photos is just fantastic. We had it like ice cream. Our chunky avocado ice cream, the healthiest, guilt-free ice cream ever. : )

Things that we do to keep our friendship...The three of us used to be in one place then one of us left for another place, next I left for another place, so one of us stayed where we met and where our friendship blossomed. Thanks to technology and our commitment to each other despite time difference, each has to make a way so we can see each other online and chat at least once a week. And we did just that and still are doing it for friendship's sake. I took the lead. : ) I'm sure you guys have your own way of keeping your friendships.

I saw this flower on the side of the path where I usually take my brother's dog. In fact, the full stretch of the path on the left side is full of this flower. At first I thought, they're weeds but when I checked google, it's actually an ornamental plant and a medicinal plant. But other parts of the world like the US, I think, calls it weed. Anyways, I don't mind whether it's a weed or not but I'm planning to get some and put them in pots and hopefully I will get some of these lovely flowers. They remind me of beautiful petunias. Maybe they are family. And oh, the name of this flower is ruellia tuberosa/ minnieroot/ fever root/ snapdragon root/ English meadow weed, etc.

Although thunderstorm just finished in our place this evening, I should say that we had a better weather today because we have seen Mr. Sunshine longer today than yesterday. We had almost clear sky this morning. And I managed to take my brother's dog out again today. It wasn't a long walk trying to avoid stray dogs who are quite vicious but he is happy enough not to mention he is quite scared of the strays as well. Yes, I am building a good relationship with my new furry friend. He's indeed happy and satisfied. And I'm happy seeing him happy.

I love lilies, any lily. Any lily I said, because there are so many types of lilies. In fact, if I am correct, there are over 90 species of lilies. That's a huge number. I am not really good in identifying which type of lily is which. For me they're all beautiful in any color, any shape, any count of petals, etc. Some are scentless, some are fragrant.
Anyway, these type of lily in the photo is called Barbados lily/ Easter lily/Amaryllis lily, yup, you call them in any of these names. I love their white and pink colors and their stripes pattern. Aren't they pretty? Yesterday, it was just one but today, they are already three, yeah, one of them is facing the other way I wonder if we're getting some more...I hope it will bear more flowers.

This is how my lunch like when I'm alone. I just prepare or slice fresh vegetables like carrots, cucumber, avocado dressed with apple cider vinegar or balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, freshly ground salt and pepper. Then I have it with a bit of fruit that's available in the house, hard boiled egg and bread. Really easy. You may be wondering what that black pieces are. They're bread. Yes, I couldn't believe my sister will give me a black food in the form of bread. Since the person in her favorite posh bakery/restaurant said that this is healthy, she bought a packet and decided to give it to me. Well apparently, the person said it's charcoal bread and good for health and of course that made my eyes went wider. Charcoal?!?
I ate them all anyway because I didn't want to waste them. They tasted like normal bread but the color was discouraging. I toasted them and put on cream cheese on them. Yeah, they tasted alright.

I was again inspired to make a refreshing, hearty and nutritious drink yesterday. It's a combination of fresh orange juice, pineapple juice and a few slices of gjnger. It was sublime. I'm going to make it again.
Why is this drink good for us? Boosts our immune system, boosts our metabolism, improve circulation, reduce inflammation, nutrient-rich and a lot more.

This kitty was hiding from my brother's ever playful dog and she thinks that these overgrown grass can protect her, yes her choice of a hiding place. But the dog got distracted by another cat and have forgotten all about her. So she is safe. I obviously do not pose any danger, it's why she didn't care that I was there taking a photo of her. I don't think that even if I will tell the dog where she is, he will not care. Cats are funny because I think dogs just want to play but cats are so scared but mind you, they know how to defend themselves. In fact, cats are more vicious than dogs. Because one of the strays scratched the dog's nose and gone bleeding. I know a dog as well who had been scarred on the nose by a cat. So yeah, they may be small but they are terrible.

As for me I got up with dizziness this morning because of the medicine that I took to ease the bad symptoms of sleep deprivation. But it is not my thing to stay in bed even if I was being pushed to go back to bed. For me, if it's daytime, I'd like to do my usual activities. But of course, I can't deny the fact that if we are not hundred percent in good form, we slow down a bit...and to liven up my spirit, ice cream is the answer, haha. Of course, I forgot to take a photo. Better be eaten quick. So I am sharing with you, this photo of a new rain lily flower that I took when I was having a walk this afternoon...absolutely lovely♡♡♡

My beautiful, refreshing and nutrient-dense drink is inspired by our friend Michelle's red tea post last night, I made my fresh version of it today that I had with my lunch and my drink for the rest of the afternoon. Since what we have is a fresh dragonfruit I thought of adding my lemon water with it to add some color. Fresh drink for the hot weather. I love flavoring my drink with a slice or more of lemon. Dragonfruit has a mild flavor but a very loud color, don't be taken aback. So my drink tasted like lemon water and a whole lot of red dragonfruit color. The slice of kiwi added beauty and a natural sweetness.

Hello friends! How's all?
Look, mama cat has a new litter and they are look alike. Like mama, like kitten, so they say. I'm unsure on its gender yet. In fact, there are three of them but it looks like the two are already wandering around. And her daughter has grown and gone independent already. So mama cat has to be with her new kittens...and this one is clingy to his mom unlike the two. I hope she'll take care of them because last time she lost all three for she refused to feed them. It is really a mama cat's main responsibility for them to survive. I did what I could do but its their mother they need more. All I can do is help but my help was not enough. They need their mother...hoping for the best for this kittens.

There is this thing that we call leisure time, right, a time to unwind. How do you spend your leisure time, noise friends? Personally, one of my leisure time is playing what I call "mindless" games. I just need my eyes and fingers and so I think, haha.
So yeah, this is one of the two games that is still left on my older phone. And now I'm going to talk about my game. When I see these two special jewels photo #2 , I know it will be a lot of fun. I will get more along the way, so even more fun. This game have seven different modes or choices. And my favorite is Butterflies (#1 photo) where I need to save as much butterflies from the horrible giant spider. All choices only have five free plays. When I used them all up, I needed to wait twenty four hours after the last game. So that's kind of a good thing. But of course there are still five different choices. So must be wary of the time..Well, photo #3 and #4 show how well I did yesterday but I did not break my own record. Doesn't matter, that's already a cool score, haha.
Ok, my friends...no worries, it had been shorten, haha.

The rain had stopped but not quite as it was still a bit drizzling when I walked this afternoon. After the rain and being out there means raindrops photography, haha. The plants were still soaking and dripping but I have to be quick because it was starting to go dark. That's the challenge. So I just did what I can and these are the ones I'm not ashame to share, haha. So again, nature is happy for that showers of rain. And I myself am happy for it stopped eventually. Just right or perfect I must say and not to mention the temperature is humane, haha. I did my work with out an AC on. How cool is that, saving energy. : )

I was walking outside this morning and I noticed this lovely flower. In fact, one of the few flowers of the tree. Anybody of you noise friends who happen to know or familiar with this flower? I'm sure some of you do know this. Yeah, it's a papaya tree flower! I'm glad that it's within my reach, it's almost impossible. This one is the lowest, a bit tricky how to get a good photo...
I wonder if this one will turn into a fruit though unless the wind or anything else hurt it and fall off the tree. But old people were saying that there is a female papaya tree and male papaya tree. Male papaya tree flowers but won't turn into a fruit. Female papaya tree flowers and turn into fruits. So they say, I'm not sure, I am no expert with this. For this tree, time will tell and see if this flower will turn into a fruit. If it does, it will be really really cool. : )

We're probably in the rainy season now. Thunderstorm, monsoon rain, either of the two is what we're having nowadays. And this flower that comes only occasionally (rain lily) I guess is one of the two that I can appreciate in this weather. The other one that I appreciate is pleasant temperature and that's it...I'm sure the plants and the trees appreciate the rain, too. But not too much for we equally need sunshine as well.

For today, I just want to share my photos of this beautiful art that I saw in a mall...See how lovely and cleverly made it looks. The weight of the upper part is just relying on the attachment of one elbow to a thigh. The invisible body despite its absence does not look like it's not there. All is perfectly balanced and proportioned that's what made it so attractive despite the fact that it's lacking colors. Definitely a "less is more" kind of art...I love it, I stared at it for a while to admire it.

Orange cat with orange eyes, I think he's looking really handsome. This kitty is one among too many strays around. This one is unique as he is the only one with this eye color. This is not the friendly one who joined me for a walk...this one is shy... Well, yes, they have chosen to stay because we have chosen to give them food. This one has a twin brother who looks very different from him, white and black with green eyes. I featured them at one of my posts here, photos I have shared was when his brother was grooming him while he was falling asleep. They play a lot, boy games, of course, like fighting games and this one always loses. They are both elusive despite any friendliness we show. But that's alright, the fact that they are staying means they like us. And they are getting bigger and bigger which shows that they are being fed well. : ) That being said...happy caturday :D from this orange-eyed handsome monster. : )

Yesterday, I saw this sight...a spider floating and having a swim in a huge bucket of clean water. I had no idea what took him there. Accident? Maybe the wind took him there? Or the heat that he decided to have a swim? : ) Uhmm, I was guessing that this spider knows what he is doing. So I took some photos to show how very good he is in floating and even have shown me butterfly strokes as well. : ) Since, he is clever, I thought I'll just mind my own business and leave him there to enjoy his swimming in the hot and humid afternoon. He's photogenic, don't you think so, too?

Hello noise maties...Can you spot the difference? Yes it's easy on the first photo, right? But how about when all these lovely little buds have bloomed all at the same time? Uhmm, maybe yes maybe no? Well, I noticed that when there is something different it tends to stand out. This is a rare sighting. I spotted five petals and six petals when normally it should just have four. So it got me excited and sharing it with you now. In fact, I just noticed the difference in the photos not the actual. I'm gonna have a look tomorrow as it is raining now and getting dark.
Are you that kind of person who likes to blend in the crowd or someone who wants to be different. If you're different, people tend to stare at you and I'm not that person who likes to be stared at. I'm sure no one does.

If you're familiar with spices, I'm sure you can guess what kind of spice this is immediately. I am not, but, I immediately appreciate its look. I thing its shape and its yellow and red colors are very attractive.
Yes, this is a nutmeg art that is displayed in the middle of Grenada Pavilion last October to March. Where it was displayed, we have enjoyed Grenadian rhythms. Apparently, nutmeg is Grenada's most popular spice and it's even featured on their national flag. This art was made by a University student who won the design competition for their Pavilion in the Expo. Simple but lovely. Obviously, the concept "less is more" works pretty good.

This is my baked sticky chicken legs that I brought for a family dinner in my brother's place. I have chosen this dish because I know it's always a hit with kids although there were only three (my nephews) around. Anyway, we all still feel like kids, haha, who doesn't?
I marinated the chicken legs with a mixture of grainy mustard, ketchup, honey, chopped garlic, Worcestershire sauce and baked them for fifty minutes. Everybody loved this dish including myself. Again, I missed taking a photo after plating them. That usually happens with food in front of me. : )

Getting overcrowded, but hey, they all have a place and everyone is holding tight. Together they are one united family, kind of thing. I love its dome shape when all little flowers had bloomed. Shame they don't have a scent, must be a better welcome before entering the front door of the house. But nevermind, it's a happy bush never short of flowers, tirelessly beautifying our front door and the garden and always getting my attention and the butterflies, too. It's welcoming enough, I'm not complaining, just saying, haha. This flowers are called Chinese ixora, burning love, jungle flame or jungle geranium, etc. It has a lot of names...

I am reposting this today for when I posted this last night it was late and I noticed I made a mistake which photo to enter. So I thought, oh well, my insomnia is attacking so I'd rather clear my thoughts so I decided to just re-do it today...
So yeah, this place is Dubai Water Canal Waterfall, where my sister and brother-in-law took me before meeting some friends for dinner six months ago... The night lights in the city were stunning. Skyscrapers were beautifully lighted and this waterfall looks super magical. We walked on the side of the huge motorway while all types of vehicles were zooming fast. It was awesome. I feel like I could stay there longer but of course the three of us were looking forward to meet our friends for a lovely dinner.

I had been reading this article with the heading, "Spare that Spider" and I have found out that they should be our friends. Why? Simply because they destroy insects. Apparently, it is impossible for us to live in this world with no protection from insect-eating animals like birds, beasts and of course spiders. Because insects, according to this article, could devour the crops, flocks and herds. Yes, birds and beasts also eat insects, but only a fraction of the number destroyed by spiders. Spiders are ever hungry creatures. For a whole year, they spend half of it just eating. And compared to other insect eaters, spiders do no harm to us nor to our belongings. So yeah, we may not like them because of whatever reasons but I guess after reading this, I am compelled to spare them. They are friends not enemies. I just thought that it's an interesting article worth sharing.

My friend and I did a serious walk one public holiday. Serious I say because we went through or past through numerous beautiful places before getting to this place on foot. From the train station, we crossed few traffic lights, walked through a building, we saw the famous Merlion. We walked through the famous Marina Bay Sands out to the Gardens by the Bay. It was a long walk through Gardens by the Bay out to this place that is called Marina Barrage where people can have a picnic, fly a kite or just hang around and enjoy the breeze. Quite a memorable day, it's not something that I do during public holidays but my friend who was just visiting, I couldn't say no to her. I'm glad I didn't for that was a great walk. A whole day walking with just few stops...This is my early throwback this week. : )

Two of my friends and I have walked through this "cool" jungle. Oh yes, it's a jungle as you can see but not the real one. This is the jungle I won't hesitate to go through, haha. No real creepy crawlies, perfect temperature, just a good walk through this beautiful place. I was glad there was no big crowd that I managed to take this photo. Yes, making and saving memories. Thus I got something to get back to and something to share.
Anyway, it will be interesting to go to a real jungle, I had never done that, ever. Not sure how willing will I be. How about you noise maties? Don't you mind going through a jungle? Oh well, enjoy... : )
