Do you?

I do. Wait... well, not really. I make my bed when I wake up. I don't fix it. There is nothing to fix because it is not broken. I hope not.

Although, making the bed is not the first thing I would do.

The first thing I'd do is drink a glass of water to soothe my throat after a night's sleep and to wake my system up.

Then, I would make the bed. I would plump up the pillows and put them in place, smooth the sheets and tuck in the sides, fold the blanket and place them neatly by the side. A quick 1 to 2 minutes task to start the day.

Sometimes, I would leave the bed making to a little later, after brushing my teeth and after shower.

I read somewhere once, that one of the ways to keep the mind organized is to make our bed, first thing in the morning, when we wake up. So far, I find that it helps.

Once the bed is made, my mind immediately goes into a zen mode. After my bed is made, I am ready for the day, the heart feels better, compared to seeing an untidy bed.

Does my mind truly become more organized? I would like to think so. It may indirectly encourage the mind to go toward the organized path. Whether or not it does, it still feels good to see a neat bed whenever I walk in and out of the room.

And nothing beats feeling good :)

Fixing my bed became a habit already since I was young. It helps us to be more organized and it's one of the ways to start our day right. Nice content by the way! :)

I agree! It does help us to be more organized. If the bed is not made, my mind don't feel right. Thank you @KatInfinity for taking the time to read and comment.

It's not the first thing I do make my bed (nothing to fix here either). There's a good reason for that. A bed needs to ventilate. If you make the bed at once what the human body sweats out will stay in the blankets and mattress which is bad for the health. I do make it daily because it feels better to step into a made bed as a heap of crincled sheets and blankets. 💕

Yes it does feel better. Ah yes, ventilation is necessary. I usually move the pillows and blanket to a different corner or side to encourage ventilation. Washing and changing the sheets ever so often helps too.

Washing helps indeed. Once a week was the rule in the old days. I don't think many people still do that. In the wide area, I rarely see the laundry outside.

Excellent! I've learnt to do this growing up but sometimes, I just forget to do it.

:) It is quite therapeutic to do this. Thank you for your comment @Bestie!

It is the first thing I do when I get up. I can't see my house without doing. It seems to me that there is chaos in the bedroom. And I can't stand the mess. My mind doesn't work well in disorder.

Yes me too! I agree. Mind feels cluttered when bed is cluttered. Thank you for reading and commenting @gertu <3
