I am a guest

It dawned on me that I am a guest here. This is your house and they are your rules. I like being in your house, and I will abide by your rules. If you want me to leave my shoes on, I will. If you say that we should do a dance before we can publish an article, I will consider it too. However, I have some thoughts to share if you care to read...

Truth is, I was quite disheartened by the message and of course the penalty, but this is your house and I am a guest here. Though, I have to say, it is a serious accusation.

Having just joined 3 weeks ago, one of the things I applaud read.cash is the fact that they take the effort to rid of any abuse to their system. I appreciate the work they put in, to remove scammers and spammers taking advantage of the system to cheat. It is not an easy task and having read read.cash's short post yesterday, I can understand the headache that they have in managing the users. And I can understand the reason behind all this.

I only have 14 subscribers at the moment and I only subscribe to those whom I like reading from. I am quite picky with what I read and who I choose to upvote, tip and comment. I don't appreciate articles or posts that do not add value in terms of content. In fact, I have unsubscribed some authors because I realised I didn't like what I read.

So, the first part of the penalty says that there was a coordination between myself and @wakeupkitty... I am subscribed to her because I like her articles. Her articles are good and thought provoking which in turn creates very interesting conversations sometimes. And I like that in an author. Is it wrong for me to upvote her articles when they are good? Is it wrong for me to tip and comment on her articles when I appreciate the effort she took in writing them? I thought not, but I guess I was wrong. I am a guest here after all and this is your house. But I must point out that there was and there is no coordination between us and there never will be because that is not who we are.

The second part of the penalty, I am not too sure of. I am thinking that maybe it is because I access my account from both my laptop and my mobile phone. In this digital time and age, I thought it is normal to access my account from different devices in the same household, i.e. the same IP address.

I have a laptop at my work desk which I do most of my read.cash activities from. I also access my read.cash account from my mobile phone when I am at the living room or bedroom, before bedtime or in between, to check on notifications and read articles. If I had a tablet, I would access read.cash from there too because I do like this place. Is it wrong to do that? I guess it is. I don't think read.cash has a mobile app yet but then again, I don't think it will be allowed to access from both devices at the same location. I guess I will have to close the browser from my mobile phone and not access read.cash from any other devices apart from my laptop.

I will continue to write here because I like this house and the values it stands for. However, I am not too sure about its sanity checking algorithms. Can an automated algorithm check on genuity and sincerity? Maybe possible, over time, if there is an AI in place and it learns from each experience, deduction and mistake it makes. I am not too sure about upvoting, tipping and commenting either. I hope it can be fine tuned because it deters genuine authors like @wakeupkitty to write and be rewarded. It also deters genuine commenters, upvoters and tippers when the very actions are penalized.

Dear friends, as much as I like reading your articles and would like to upvote, tip and comment your every hard written article, sorry, I am not able to do so at the moment until I understand what are the house rules. I am afraid of the implications to you but I will upvote, tip and comment some for now.

I like what read.cash wrote yesterday:

Stay at read.cash if writing is fun for you and you'd do it for free, but the cents that you get are a nice addition to that.

Yup, that is me, I am here because writing is fun for me and so is engagement, being able to interact and converse with like minded individuals and I thank you all.

I think it's forbidden to follow those authors you like and to upvote good content. I asked and received a reply.

A reply about one author only not about the others who mentioned me.

In the case of the other author, we both should have upvoted each other's content within a minute several times. Generally speaking, my connection is about 18 kb! How can I so fast switch, load, comment, and upvote?

Btw I didn't receive any warning but my name pops up everywhere. I am sorry I asked you to join this platform. I thought they could use some really good writers.

Hey, don't worry about it. I am still happy to be here. I will still write here. It somehow feels less pressure compared to Steemit and Hive. Guess what, the message in my account has disappeared. Maybe they read and reconsidered :)

I hope they did I emailed with them. If it comes to me I never had a warning but my name shows up everywhere. I noticed a big part of those who received a warning joined the contest. Is this coincedence? It's not if it comes to me following them, reading and commenting. I moderate too which means I meet and read even more users and yes, they have something in common, the community it's topic they are interested in.

It doesn't make sense to me how I can upvote several posts of the same author within a minute time. I have 18 kb and believe me that's not fast it's a big pain. I informed and let it tested but it's imposdible for me which means the next options are left: The slow connection sends all commands at the same minute because it's instable, The server of read.cash causes the problem because it can not handle so many users/commamds, I am hacked.

What do you think?

It's more stress free indeed, although it was till a few days ago. At the moment Steemit is better for me. I gave up on Hive.

I think you have a good theory there. The browser probably queues all your transactions since the network was unstable and the moment it got connected, it sends them all the packets at one go and when it reaches read.cash, it looked as though you are bombarding them with upvotes. They did say they are still at a beta stage, so, they are probably looking of ways everyday to fine-tune the system. Lets give them a chance :) Ah is it because you can't connect to HIVE? My NeedleWorkMonday community moved there, so I am still HIVE-ing but I think I will join CCC contests from Steemit since you ladies are there.
