Old folk beliefs

I thought about it for a long time and it went through my mind, that in our language wisdom and beliefs are intertwined, and with a careful interpretation you can discover the future.

It has always been believed in our people that some phenomena can predict the events that will follow. There are a number of unwritten rules that apply to things that can bring misfortune or happiness. Depending on how superstitious you are, you will obey certain "regulations."

How many times have you just heard "move from place" or "knock on a tree to hear no evil"? The following are some of the more unusual and decades-old folk beliefs that most people, whether they want to admit it or not, still believe.

Don't leave undrinkable drinks in the guests, so you leave them quarreling in the house.

When a swallow builds a nest on the roof of a house, peace and tranquility will come to that house.

What you dream of the first night in your new apartment will come true. Also, when you sleep in someone else's bed for the first time, remember what you dreamed, it will come true.

If something bad happens to you early in the morning, don't start anything important that day.

Where the table sways, in that house the woman has the main word.

When a guest leaves the house without even sitting down, it is believed that he took the peace out of the house. Also, where there are female children, the guest should sit for at least five minutes.

Broken glass - if a glass is broken in the house, it indicates happiness.

When you first pick up a baby, imagine the desire. Within a year, your wish will come true.

An egg with two yolks means that someone will get married soon, black dots on the yolk are a bad sign, while an egg without yolks is an extremely bad sign and a great misfortune.

When you see a spider on you, on your suit, sudden happiness awaits you.

If a raven flies over your house and bites, beware of accidents.

When you help a dog, cat or any animal in need, the charity will return to you.

Eat the first violet you find in the spring - your loved ones will love you all year round.

Spilled coffee - if coffee is spilled in the house, it represents a recent monetary gain.

It is not worth changing the engagement ring, so that life does not change.

If someone else's dog comes in front of the house and barks, it is a sign of happiness and the dog should not be driven away.

If you drop the knife, a man will come to your house. Conversely, if you drop a fork, a woman will come to you.

Clothes on the table - if something from shoes or clothes is put on the table, someone will get sick.

If an accident, illness or any bad thing is mentioned, you should move - so that the same thing does not happen to you.

Crossed arms - you should not sit in the house with your arms crossed because it indicates an accident or sadness.

When someone from the house goes on a long journey, it is not worth lending anything from the house that day, because the journey will be very unhappy for that passenger.

Whoever drinks coffee from a truncated cup, will marry a widower or marry a widow.

To make money in the house, keep the broom facing down.

When you come across a dog on the road, you will do the job successfully.

You should not eat food with a knife or lick the knife - you will get sick.

If a whole or a piece of a horseshoe is found, it promises a happy and very useful day.

If a girl gives a watch to a guy, or he gives it to her, time will stop for them - they will break up.

You may have heard some of this, write me in the comments your opinion on this. Thank you for that, in advance.
