If you ask me, keep this information at hand, it is certain that you will impress someone with your knowledge ...

How much time do you spend talking about books, reading, and writers? There are always numerous topics for conversation, from the last book read to the discussion of whether to read in the bathtub. But if you really want to impress someone, why not give something interesting about books?

Astonish your friends and family and ensure that your team wins the quiz with these interesting books that every reader should definitely know.

The average title in the fiction genre contains between 80,000 and 100,000 words - which is probably a lot of chapters. But they do not always have to be extensive to influence a book, as evidenced by some of the shortest chapters in books. We like the 19th chapter of William Faulkner's novel "While I Was Dying", which has only four words: My mother is a fish. And Stephen King's novel "Misery" contains a chapter of only one word: "Send".

Do you like the smell of a new book? Are you afraid of running out of reading material? Do you pile up unread books at home? Well, book lover, there are words that describe all of this.

According to the online dictionary Urban Dictionary, the love of the smell of books is called bibliosmia, while according to McMillan's dictionary, the fear is that you will be left without a reading for abibliphobia.

If you are one of the latter, then you are an abibliophobe and you probably have piles of unread books everywhere. In that case, you should include the word tsundoku in your vocabulary: it is a Japanese term for home accumulation of reading material that you will not read.

You might think that the creator of James Bond, Ian Fleming, with 14 novels about a British spy, holds the record for the most written stories about his own hero. But in fact, the most prolific author of the work on Bond is the British writer John Gardner, who, according to the Guinness Book of Records, wrote 14 novels and two screenplays between 1981 and 1996.

In recent years, the lists of Barack Obama's titles that he plans to read have caused a lot of excitement. The former president is known as someone who reads insatiably, but he is not the most passionate reader among American presidents. The title is held by Theodore Roosevelt, who served as American president from 1901 to 1909, and read an average of one book a day, even during his term. The Theodore Roosevelt Center states that he "usually read several books at the same time, choosing them based on his activities and / or mood.

We all know that books can take us to near and far, but if you drive on the American M6 highway, you literally get somewhere thanks to the books. The reason for this is the 2.5 million old editions of the publishing house Mills & Boon, which were shredded and used to prepare the upper layer of the road, which the suppliers from the company Tarmak discovered shortly after the opening in 2003.

What would you expect from the most expensive book of all time? Maybe it has a gold-bound cover and is printed on the rarest paper in the world? You might expect it to be voluminous and very, very old. In a way, you would be right, but you may be surprised to learn that the most expensive book ever sold has only 36 sheets of paper and, among other things, contains an explanation of why fossils of sea creatures can be found in the mountains. Leonardo da Vinci's The Codex of Leicester was sold to Bill Gates at auction in November 1994 for $ 30,802,500. Today, that amount is equal to the figure of 53,222,898.79 dollars. You will not make donkey ears in this book.

There is romance in writing: you may imagine a writer in a beautifully decorated attic, writing with a pen on parchment. But that scene is not credible, at least since the late 19th century, when, according to the New Yorker, Mark Twain became the first "important writer" to deliver a typewritten manuscript to the publisher. The manuscript was for Twain 's "Life on the Mississippi", published in 1883.

You may have voluminous books on the shelves, however, do you have the longest novel ever written? That would be Marcel Proust's "In Search of Lost Time." According to the Guinness Book of Records, it contains approximately 9,609,000 characters, including spaces.

The first of a total of thirteen volumes of the book was published in 1913.

Age is not an obstacle to writing or winning literary awards. The Booker Prize - perhaps the most prestigious award for literature in English - was awarded to the youngest and oldest winner in this decade.

The youngest is Eleanor Cato, who won her in 2013 for her book "She Saw", when she was only 28 years old.

The oldest winner is Margaret Atwood, who won it in 2019 at the age of 79 for "Testimonies". She shared the award that year with Bernandin Evaristo, who won it for "Girl, Woman, Second".

Bulan's dedication in the book reads: "A book about the human soul deserves a human cover: I kept this piece of skin removed from a woman's back."

I sincerely hope you read a good book again soon. and of course in the comments suggest a good book, I will be happy to read.
