Stewardship of Spiritual Things♡
Time check, 4:30 am.
I got up from bed this early morning while half of you were still soundly sleeping. The coldness of the ambiance made me see and hear it more in the rushing water from our faucet. Thus, my lethargic mind kept on saying, "Nooo! The water's too cold. You can't take it!" But nah, I have to. After almost three years of waiting, our church's quarterly fellowship is back again and this is still the second fellowship I'll be attending within those long wait. The venue is kilometers away from our place and the program will start at exactly 9:00 am, therefore, we have to make it right on time.
Ding! I smiled playfully when I suddenly remembered the trick I used to do before during my highschool days without a warm water's help. I hastily poured myself the coldness, applied the soap and shampoo, then washed me quickly to escape from tragedy haha. Anyways, got to fix myself and everything then arrived at the area safely.
Basically, the theme is all about 'Stewardship of Life' that's already published by @jstjylrd_ . The three lectures were about 'Stewardship of Material Things' which will be published by @dauntless_marquess , 'Deacons and Church Workers' Responsibility' which wasn't blatantly for youths like me, and lastly, 'Stewardship of Spiritual Things'.
We've known steward as someone who is totally in charge of a certain household or state. This stewardship is a great and tough responsibility that must be handled well in this world that's full of temptations and hindrances in my own view. Thus, how can we possibly be a good steward in spiritual things? I'll be elaborating faithfulness and fellowship.
When We Must Be Found Faithful
"He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much."
Our God is a jealous God. Being faithful to Him means a lot in Christian life. Whenever He wanted to give us something or we ourselves ask him, faithfulness in every little things is necessary. How can we be entrusted to something big if we aren't even reliable enough with the small ones right? Like a certain person have been dreaming a mansion but he's not even reliable in having a hut.
With that, we must be a steward in our 4 T's: treasures, time, talents, and talk.
•"For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also."
This is one of the beautiful verses I love. If your treasure is found in the worldly things, that is where your full support also. Like you'll always be found head over heels to it. As a Christian, you cannot serve God and a mammon. You should be faithful to Him in every aspects of your life no matter what, when, and how. Stewardship in our treasures also includes giving tithes and offerings. The 10% of our income isn't ours as it is God's and must be given back to Him as stated in Malachi 3:10.
•"Redeeming the time because the days are evil."
We must be a steward through our time. Always remember that we are not the one who controls it in such aspect and the time we have is not ours as it was only borrowed from God. We must manage it everyday and the biggest part of that is for God's. Rule No. 1, put God first. ALWAYS. By finding a way to share the gospel especially salvation, we can redeem the time. In the midst of our studies and works, we can share. We can surely help spread His words and do things at the same time if we manage our time carefully.
We must also be a steward through our talents. Just like those three servants who were given talents by their master going somewhere far. When he returned, he evaluated their stewardship based on how diligent they were in making profitable investments with their own assets. Two of them were only loyal and rewards them favorably while the unfaithful one played it safe.
Our talents must be used for the honor and glory of the Lord and do not ever underestimate the talents you have no matter what it is. Since God gave it to you, He has a perfect plan and you'll definitely prosper through it.
•"Pleasant words are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones."
Importantly, we must as well be a steward in our talks spiritually. We can bless or curse our lives as stated in Proverbs 17:21 through our words or the way we talk. Such words will also manifest who you are as a person and as child of God.
There are indeed numerous of wonderful things which we'll never thought could possibly exist if we are faithful in the Lord. Thus, let's be a good steward in our treasures, time, talents, and talk.
When We Must Have A Fellowship
We must be a steward through our fellowship which is important in Christian life. It is an evidence that we are one of God's children and our spiritual life is lifted up as you are encouraged, strengthened, and dignified through sharing your problems as well as your brothers and sisters' prayers. Fellowship also involves singing praises to God such as the song entitled Leaning On The Everlasting Arms which is very powerful.
We'll also know a lot of things as doctrines are being taught here. If ye know the truth, the truth will set you free.
With that, good stewardship can be found in our fruits letting other people see how God changed your life and blessed you. The longer we serve God, the more improvements will be visible. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says that if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature where old things are passed away, all things are become new. Thus, fruits are inevitable.
How's it? I drafted this last Saturday night after we arrived home but then, we're out of load again. I've been busy recently and I just got the time to visit as well as engage here.
Thanks. Owe you big time! ✿
