only looking at price in this sort of situation sucks. DON'T DO IT
i'm looking at buying vs selling. DexScreener makes this very easy, see image below. i'm using TANGO for this example because i believe it to be undervalued.
note the number and size of the buys vs sells in the last two hours of transactions, and also the 24 hour total on the right: almost twice the number of buys.
BTC being a measure of value against other assets across many exchanges makes its USD price reverberate through everything. BCH price is especially coupled to BTC price.
and SmartBCH is coupled to BCH.
but price has little to do with capability. don't be fooled into thinking there is no strength here. keep supporting projects that are DOING things.
finally, DO YER OWN RESEARCH. it is IMPERATIVE that you behave smarter than your money.
i threw some BCH at #Splinterlands yesterday, was feeling kinda bad about the exchange rate, but with today's BCH going for $340....
add the fact that my BCH was passive, while my Splinterlands earning is active and growing and i'm feeling much better.
yes, in this infinite Universe, there is unlimited gold, and of course us humans on our tiny rock have access to it all. thanks Bitcoin for saving us from infinitely debased gold.

cracking open packs is so addictive. collectible card games are built on FOMO. #Splinterlands is no exception.
i goofed and accidentally bought 1 CHAOS pack on Hive Engine (HE) for more than 5 HIVE....i was trying to buy two but someone snapped up the 1 listed slightly cheaper before my order went through...and Hive just accepted my overpayment as me being generous. neat 😅
but they're cheaper on HE than in-game so i just bought more to spread my goof a little thinner. i'm breathing and we are moving on.
i bought some in-game, too, to hopefully unlock some airdrops. i've never gotten one, though i opened Byzantine Kitty last year so i'm not complaining.
some decent results from the packs, though i doubled up on most of the Epics i opened which is kind of annoying. i guess it's more card power....
still far from leveled up Summoners which is my next goal so i can move up in Silver league.
i've mostly given up playing my second account. it is maddening fighting through the hordes of bots in Bronze III. it's now a SPS/DEC farm, and that's perfectly serviceable.

i’m a fearless tipper.
whatever strikes my fancy, tips away! f* the haters, ‘till zero.
i don’t have meager days. i have slow days and absurd days.
i don’t know how to quantify it, but seeing others complain has me quite confused.
(either y’all are actually misers or this site *really* likes me)
but don’t think this is a shout out to the spammers. i can tell when you do it right.
i guess what i’m trying to say is: give it away and take a small cut. the percentage slider tells it true. red is bad, green is good.
(this is my own experience. mileage may vary)
it's moments like this that make me think some of Lunar Crush's metrics are garbage, but maybe i'm just assuming people like the freedom of crypto....
lol, i thought so. he blocked me after i commented, by the way.
noise.cash/u/WangKui
i wrote about Lunar Crush about a week back --> https://noise.cash/post/19z3j9kk
it's a crypto social metric tracking site that rewards users for using the site and giving opinions. i wanted to give you an update on my "earnings" so far. you need at least 35 LUNR to withdraw, but i'm really using the site to make Twitter more tolerable.
i've used the site for 9ish days and made 1.3429 LUNR. i don't game-ify the rewards process, but you probably can take it to the max with every log in if you tried. you earn based on your daily points, and you earn points by --
- logging in, 1 point
- using the site actively for up to 60 minutes, 1 point per minute
- giving your opinions on the various small polls around the site, 1 point per answer, up to 30 points per day
i've never gotten 91 points. i don't really care. i like that i can search for a crypto and see a list of Tweets or Youtube videos or news articles about it, and i can arrange it chronologically or by engagement.
the site has its limits, though. it can be slow. it links to nowhere occasionally. it doesn't track a lot of interesting crypto projects.
but i like that i can get an overview of a lot of different things in one place, and follow Twitter threads that i would not find otherwise because Twitter makes me hurt.
finally, WHY ARE YOU LISTENING TO A DISEMBODIED ROBOT HEAD. YOU'RE A BIG PERSON, YOU CAN FIGURE IT OUT. TRUST YOURSELF, NOT STRANGERS.
images below my sick earnings.

i'm not smart enough: is Vitalik casually calling out SmartBCH in the highlighted sentence?
here's the link to the whole post --> https://old.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/rwojtk/ama_we_are_the_efs_research_team_pt_7_07_january/hrngyk8/
interesting thoughts. i tend to like his thinking, but it's not in my immediate scope of knowledge so i can't really *say* anything about it.
busy day! and tomorrow i'm back to work from my suspension.
they dropped the charges, lol. well, not all of them. they didn't like that i walked off the job, but they couldn't say that i quit becuase i came back, and i've left before in similar circumstances due to my mental health. so they waggled a finger at me and said BAD WORKER but they also said "please come back" under their breath.
we both know that i'm valuable to them. so i'll be there a bit longer. but not too long.
in other news, i put some money into 3 different EVM-compatible chains in the last few weeks. when you start using MetaMask, it's easy to keep adding networks.
Harmony has made the biggest impression on me, but they have had growing pains. it's funny though, Harmony users were complaining of "slow transactions" that were taking...6-10 seconds instead of 2.
SmartBCH has me worried. not that i'm too invested. it has a bit of a ghost town vibe, and i don't say that to discredit the hard work of various development teams, but there are no *HOOKS* there to pull people in. especially when its essentially a gated community.
i mean, crypto in general has barriers of access, but there are bridges ( CEXes still play a huge role ). BCH is not very popular, and to then access SmartBCH, you KYC with CoinFlex ( sorry USA ) or use sites that while perfectly serviceable are lacking a bit in polish....
you can sell a few tokens at $X and then keep printing tokens, through various arcane DeFi means, and add zeros to your marketcap, but nothing is happening.
lerk's OPINION TIME, featuring the new sBCH token....SUN
contract --> https://www.smartscan.cash/address/0x291361E2619Cd0fbfD880bE3c02926CfDd3c6a9F
i'm hoping the small interaction pictured below is not anything to worry about. the project is new, they are airdropping a lot of tokens, 2.1 billion....
but there's a total supply of 1 quadrillion.
i'd say DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH but there are no docs....i'll pass.
( not financial advice. i'm just a floating robot head )
life is weird.

noise image editing ruins this one~~~~
Melania Trump says:
"It is widely reported that Bitcoin's market cap exceeds USD$1 Trillion. Today marks the 13th anniversary of the Bitcoin Genesis Block. Happy Anniversary, #SatoshiNakamoto #MelaniaNFT"
the way she [read: her publicist] says "it is widely reported" is just...so non-committal. either she does *not* know what Bitcoin is, or she doubts very much it can be so expensive.
Happy Anniversary, #MelaniaNFT4Ever
i normally find 3-5 errors in my longer posts....after i post them of course.
i've just submitted a short-ish post to the SmartBCH channel , and i'm paralyzed, waiting for approval so i can fix my inevitable mistakes....
warning: these are *MY* opinions. they are not financial advice. read this as informational / educational only. thanks.
lerk's OPINION TIME ( brought to you buy Kui Wang's Special sBCH Sauce ):
CLY ( celery.cash ) is the most interesting token currently available on sBCH. an interesting staking / reward mechanism with long term potential, though i'm unsure of some of the token dynamics down the road, after a year or so. the 365 day unstaking drip is a good way to mitigate dumps, but something tickling the back of my mind says there are strategies to take advantage.
keeping some liquid CLY around seems like a good idea.
image has 12H candles. also: love love love DexScreener. a dream come true!
Harmony chain has a faucet!
tl;dr - https://harmony.supply - claimable three times a day for 0.01 ONE.
i'm not sure if it's exactly related, but there was a system on the Crypto Royale Discord that would send you a small amount of ONE so you could swap your ROY for other tokens on ViperSwap.
i took advantage of the service a few days back when first investigating the Harmony chain. i was a bit skeptical when the dripped me out 0.0005 ONE [edit, i originally wrote 0.005!], but that's a perfectly usable amount! cool stuff.
anyway, the Discord discontinued the "gas-station" but in its place presented https://harmony.supply
you can claim three times a day for 0.01 ONE. they won't pay to wallets with ONE balance higher than a certain amount, not sure what the limit is yet but i'll get back to you. i just set up a new wallet in Metamask and it worked perfectly ( image below ).
edit: you cannot claim with a wallet that has 0.01 ONE or more, and the threshold might even be lower than that.
( i guess feel free to send me Harmony tokens at that address, lol.... )
i mentioned the Algorand chain swap platform TinyMan ( tinyman.org ) yesterday, in conjunction with discussion of thealgofaucet.com
looks like someone(s) found a vulnerability in their contract allowing removal of liquidity regardless of ownership. so....the site has collapsed. not *all* pools were immediately affected, some users were able to recover their tokens, but until the TinyMan comes up with a solution, the site is done.
the Algo Faucet is unaffected. they've updated to note the TinyMan liquidity issue.
glad i got in ( and out ) when i did i guess....
i guess i was a little naive, but interacting with SmartBCH and Harmony got me thinking that all these new smart chains were cheap to transact...
i've had some MATIC ($5.61) sitting in Coinbase for a while, thought i'd load that up into Metamask and click on some stuff. tried to transfer, would cost $5.60 to transfer....okay then.
i saw news that a project i follow on Harmony was setting up a fork for the Crypto.com Cronos chain. i thought, sweet, let's take a look at Cronos. i'm poking around and i see a fork of a cool project from the Fantom chain ( that they did not give attribution in their docs, SHAME ON THEM ). to test out the gas fees, i try to Approve one of their contracts.... 0.15$ in gas. better than Polygon, but 3-5X SmartBCH and much much higher than Harmony.
i know that gas is an incentive to node runners and "that's how it works" but why even spin up a new chain if it ain't cheap?! to be honest, SmartBCH fees kinda hurt. i've got "BCH income" lol, so it's less worrying, but i've been paying Harmony gas fees ( just 22 transactions so far ) and haven't broken 1 cent total....
and one more thing about Harmony before i go: WAGMI (🤝,🤝)
thanks to various users for mentioning "The Algo Faucet" --> thealgofaucet.com
i thought i'd take it a step further and try out their ASA ( Algorand Standard Asset ) token, AFD. the idea is you donate to get guaranteed drips without worrying about logging your address every week. you donate and you get AFD, at a rate of 1 ALGO per 1000 AFD.
so i donated 1 ALGO. and then there's this section on the site that says, "If all you want is 1000 AFDs for the drops every day, it *may* be cheaper on Tinyman."
so what's Tinyman ( tinyman.org )? oh, an AMM swap service on the ALGO blockchain. neat! so i connect my wallet and do some fiddling....oh hey, my 1000 AFD is worth 1.08 ALGO....
so i swapped. it cost 0.004 Algo in all. it was an interesting system, similar to other AMMs i've used, but i first received the "guaranteed" amount of ALGO, and then, after a minute or so, the site told me there was more to claim, meaning i did get the deal i was expecting, after all was said and done. very cool.
and so i bought 1000 more AFD by donating so i get my drips, and i'm up 0.07+ ALGO. there were a few fees for authorizing the contracts, but they were in the 0.00X ALGO range, which is just fine.
all in all, a cool experience, that also convinced me to pull all my ALGO from Coinbase. another win!
image is the current exchange rate: poor liquidity ruined my arbitrage lol
i'm faced with a problem:
see, i like those clicker games. a good example of my style is Universal Paperclips ( https://www.decisionproblem.com/paperclips/index2.html, available on mobile as well! ), a game where you make paperclips....and then it gets weird. another good/weird one is Incremental Merge --> https://mrredshark77.github.io/incremental-merge/
anyway, i like the dynamic: number increases at rate R. click some buttons to manipulate number or R, add other variables....
so now i'm watching my stake of CLY earn me DAIQUIRI, slowly as i am in testing mode, but that number keeps going up.
i timed it to see if i should be glued to the screen or not, just to see the next increment, and i should definitely NOT, but it's entrancing. i think that's why i like the 1BCH Auto rBCH Bounty faucet. it keeps getting bigger, until someone claims.
tl;dr - lerk likes watching numbers. image is paperclips.
to start the new year off right, i finally sent some BCH over to the smart side of things. hop.cash was painless as expected.
now it feels very much like a fast, cheap though less polished Ethereum, but all the tools are still there, and i'm already developing a strategy that i'll be testing out in the coming weeks.
shout out to 1BCH.com and their Auto rBCH Bounty faucet. i love a faucet with a purpose! i saw a similar thing on Harmony the other day and thought it was neat, but there was a bot farming it so it was tough to claim successfully, while still spending gas on failure....
anyway, i'm up to late and high on data. laters.
user @jmsansan alerted us all about a potential Bxie Infinity BXS scam here:
https://noise.cash/post/l76rzp82
i just wanted to add some additional findings. though i can't speak to the integrity of the BXIE project, their website lists a different token contract than the one mentioned by jmsansan.
https://poocoin.app comes in super handy here. you can see the two BXS tokens in the images below. the first is the fake BXS honeypot, the second is the "legitimate" BXS token. note which has red candles. that's a good sign, meaning you can sell your token!
fake BXS chart --> https://poocoin.app/tokens/0x2fc9d00089d2009195e49599800771e4befc0fb3
"legitimate" BXS chart --> https://poocoin.app/tokens/0xf2e71b054b6b0f3c5513af505e6c072008ecfacd
to make it clear, y'all need to do your own research when approaching new projects. i didn't have BNB in my wallet when interacting, silly me, so i've not even claimed my Bxie. we'll see how it goes.
user @SapphireCrypto posted about Lunar Crush ( lunarcrush.com ) earlier ( https://noise.cash/post/l346p3wv ) and i must say, it's working for me.
here's the thing: i hate Twitter. the platform sucks at its main offering --> presenting tweets and comments. it wants to invade your attention with its nonsense.
Lunar Crush is a social network aggregator. search for a particular coin and get a snapshot of Twitter, Reddit, and Youtube discussion on that topic. so i can search Twitter, without dealing with Twitter, in a format that is presented better than Twitter's, and i get crypto? yeah, sounds good.
there's a lot to sort through, but it seems like it pays LUNR, its native token on the ZIL network ( lunrtoken.com for more info ), when you interact with the site. i think there's an ERC-20 version as well, but ZIL might be cheaper to transact. i guess i'll find out!
the optimal low effort approach is to simply LOG IN EVERY F*ING DAY, but don't take my word for it, check it out at the above links and make your own decisions.
it's time again for lerk's frendly reminder:
the first 4-5 days of a new #Splinterlands season are the best for earning DEC from wins. the DEC rewards pool has increased by ~2 million in the last 12 hours. that means there are drastically fewer people playing for a piece of a larger rewards pool.
as always, you can check the DEC rewards pool here --> https://game-api.splinterlands.com/players/balances?token_type=DEC&players=$REWARD_POOL
and the number is still going up!
regarding this post (which regards a post of mine) --> https://noise.cash/post/l34z8nw8
this one's almost worth it, @tstn:
https://noise.cash/post/12g63qg5
#NoiseAphorismsForever
i mentioned this game in a comment a week or so back, but recently its token jumped to nearly 0.20$ and is now chilling around 8 cents.
anyway, the game is Crypto Royale, cryptoroyale.one, a Battle Royale, winner takes all game that pays out in ROY, a token on the Harmony blockchain.
you can see a chart below, showing the price in USD though the pair is ROY / ONE on Viperswap --> https://dexscreener.com/harmony/0x4db87db6eadb02c5612eb4cf522d8188fb80a9ad
anyway, the game is rather simple but elegant. your little blob follows your mouse cursor. you can click or press TAB to boost, using 25% of your current health. you can bump into other players to deal damage. each color is strong against another, in the classic Rock beats Scissors, Scissors beats Paper, Paper beats Rock setup:
Blue wins against Magenta
Magenta wins against Yellow
Yellow wins against Blue
you gain health by picking up the little diamond boxes that also change your color, or by bumping into other players you are stronger/bigger than.
pretty straightforward but the play ends up very fast paced, with a lot of color swapping and boosting. and just as in other Battle Royale games, the safe zone of the map slowly reduces in size, forcing players to jostle with each other or venture into the void, which deals damage to the player over time.
i started playing a few weeks back and ROY was around $0.02. i accidentally cleared my browser cache so i need to speak with the moderators on their discord about recovering my 27~ ROY from the browser wallet.
i've played for a little bit today on a new wallet and made 1.3 ROY. i've successfully withdrawn ROY in the past, though occasionally they pause withdrawals because their hot wallets are empty. you need 5 ROY minimum to withdraw.
finally, there are A LOT more players now than a few weeks back. consequently, ROY payouts are reduced per game. i highly recommend playing in Training mode ( cryptoroyale.one/training ) for a while to get the hang of it. your earning potential will be higher than in Ranked.
finally for real this time: i play on a LAPTOP with touchpad, not a mouse. i read in their Discord than you can play on mobile, but you play in the browser and that seems a little janky. i have no experience with this game on mobile. if you have a small phone / large fingers or both, you may not be able to see what you're doing.
tl;dr - check out this fun game to earn some extra crypto and gain exposure to the Harmony blockchain! who doesn't love that?

follow up to my previous Bxie Infinity post here -> https://noise.cash/post/lmrgv5zx
i can't access site now....i cleared my browser cache and cookies....awesome stuff.
my Bxie has been hatching for quite some time. i verified all my details today....the Telegram group is useless....
i can wait as this cost me nothing, but i'm a little confused, and crypto confusion hurts in a special way.
i've been following a Hive token called SEED for the past few months, after semi-YOLOing into a small position upon reading the ideas of the person behind it, the Hive user empoderat.
it's been going well it seems, though i'm not really here to talk about the token, but rather the comments section of the most recent SEED Treasury update. originally posted to LeoFinance, i'll give you the PeakD link because the images are more legible: https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@empoderat/seed-holdings-report-19-extended-review-of-all-assets
there's a lot of good stuff there....but the COMMENTS SECTION IS WHERE IT POPS OFF
now, what do i mean? first: i'm *not* talking about @trumpman commenting, 'Gay rug' because Hivians could see that coming, so let's back up a bit and ask, what are we doing here? in crypto i mean.
crypto is a monetary mutation space, and we're trying *all* the approaches we can think of to create value.
recently the witnesses upped the APR on Hive Backed Dollars (HBD) in Savings to 12%. user urun has some reservations about the approach. this starts an excellent conversation about 'how do you even stablecoin?' with multiple users making excellent points and honestly blowing my mind a little bit.
check it out: https://peakd.com/hive-167922/@urun/re-empoderat-r4f670
additionally, urun later made a post of their own, summing up some of their concerns a little better: https://peakd.com/leofinance/@urun/hbd-converting-and-exponential-curve-behind
image is empoderat nailing it with 'Hive itself is "the promise."'
my job gave me a suspension for Christmas, lol
i'll gladly stay away at this point. they'll have fun processing all the Christmas returns without me.
( the way my purse of freebies is refilled leads me to believe that noise trusts my judgment, which is very nice. i will do my best to share this [seemingly bottomless] wealth! )
( perhaps you like parentheticals too much, lerk. )
