thanks to various users for mentioning "The Algo Faucet" --> thealgofaucet.com i thought i'd take it a step further and try out their ASA ( Algorand Standard Asset ) token, AFD. the idea is you donate to get guaranteed drips without worrying about logging your address every week. you donate and you get AFD, at a rate of 1 ALGO per 1000 AFD. so i donated 1 ALGO. and then there's this section on the site that says, "If all you want is 1000 AFDs for the drops every day, it *may* be cheaper on Tinyman." so what's Tinyman ( tinyman.org )? oh, an AMM swap service on the ALGO blockchain. neat! so i connect my wallet and do some fiddling....oh hey, my 1000 AFD is worth 1.08 ALGO.... so i swapped. it cost 0.004 Algo in all. it was an interesting system, similar to other AMMs i've used, but i first received the "guaranteed" amount of ALGO, and then, after a minute or so, the site told me there was more to claim, meaning i did get the deal i was expecting, after all was said and done. very cool. and so i bought 1000 more AFD by donating so i get my drips, and i'm up 0.07+ ALGO. there were a few fees for authorizing the contracts, but they were in the 0.00X ALGO range, which is just fine. all in all, a cool experience, that also convinced me to pull all my ALGO from Coinbase. another win! image is the current exchange rate: poor liquidity ruined my arbitrage lol
