It all started with an affiliate link. Don't even know the inviter personally. Met her in another writing platform and I'm thankful that @Sarahmay introduced read.cash to me.
I joined so many writing platforms, in fact I have been in virtual writing since 2012. I was so eager to write that time. My mind full of ideas, full of passion. My heart is always in reading and writing.
I make articles, I research a lot, but you know, I still am not as good as many of you here who write great articles about specific topics.
I just love to express myself thru writing. Most of the time, I do freestyles. No rules to follow, just the flow of my mind.
When I joined read.cash I couldn't remember the exact date. I just realized it's been a year since I first wrote a content here.
At first I felt that the site wouldn't stay that long just like the others after getting too many spammers and plagiarists.
After weeks, I observed these plagiarists swarm into the site and tried to destroy its good platform. This is what happened to many writing sites I joined. Shutdown after few months of plagiarist and spammers invasion. They destroyed good paying sites and it affected those who are writing in good faith.
We cannot deny the fact that we came here for the rewards. Who would have wanted to waste idea without getting something in return, right? Yes, I came because I needed to earn some extra with my simple writing. Earn big with a simple "blah blah blah", that's it. The first goal is to earn subscribers to get more tips. It's very simple. That was what I once thought.
Days passed I get motivated to write. Anything you talk about is accepted as long as it is your own writing. That time the tipping is a give and take method. You earn from others' tips, likes and comments. This time I didn't want my articles to be just a simple "blah blah" anymore. π I went a little more further to improve my writing to get more sibscribers. That way I can get more rewards.
I joined writing contests which was a lot of fun. I can write different topics and writing styles. And it gives me a fixed idea which made it easier for me to think of a good topic to talk about.
One best thing is that you join different communities. You can write in different languages. Meet people from different countries or province, make friends with them. You get to know them by reading their personal stories. You gain virtual friends who gives you advice and share their opinions which can actually help in your decision making.
Then the invaders came in like corona virus plagiarising articles and spamming comments. Pulling down the whole platform. This made read.cash change rules almost every week. It's somehow demotivating due to the fact that it will be harder for us writers get a good pay on what we worked hard for.
There are others who get higher tips by copying from books and rephrasing them to pass the plagiarism checker. Which is too unfair for those who are writing in good faith. So the admin has to make more changes to protect the platform at all cost.
Some writers who are after the points gave up on the site. Still there are loyal ones who stayed just like me. π. It is because I realized that I didn't need the points that much anymore. What I want is people who will help me grow in the writing world. For the second time I got attached to another great writing platform and it's read.cash. β€οΈ
If you may try to observe, I am not as active as the other writers and doesn't have that much subscribers. You know, I always check on readcash. You might not notice me interacting but I am silently reading articles everyday. The reason is that I am going through some health issues that require me to keep away from the screen. As much as I wanted to write articles and leave comments, my mind just won't work the same as before. I needed time to heal so I kept silent. Sometimes I just write what's in my mind but I couldn't be as active for now.
Read.cash has become better with the Random Rewarder. The big change saved it from spam and plagiarism. It eliminated the unwanted users. The reason why I stayed and survived in this platform along with the others who are truly passionate in writing.
Today, June 27th is my birthday and I am celebrating one year in Read.cash with it. I couldn't remember the exact start date. It just happened that I saw my profile today marked with "User for one year" and it makes me proud that I have been a part of its success upto this year.
As I get birthday well wishes from friends, I would like to thank everyone here for the thrill, laughs and cries that I read from your stories and comments on my articles.
And thank you Read.cash for the opportunity to improve not just my writing but also my singing skills during the singing contests held here. π. I have had so much fun. It makes me smile reminiscing my readcash experiences from last year. Today is indeed a happy birthday.
I wish that Read.cash will continue for more years and make more improvements for the benefit of it's true and loyal contributors.
Made this cake for all of us. I hope I can physically share it to you all. π ππ°π°π°
