US spy drone downed on Saudi border
Yemen's Houthis have shot down a US spy drone, the RQ-20, on the Saudi border. The drone struck while patrolling the skies over the Yemeni border town of Harad.
A spokesman for Yemen's armed forces, Yahya Sari, said a US drone had been shot down over their airspace.
A few days ago, a Saudi drone was shot down by army and civilian air defense units in Yemen's Saada province. Yemen's Houthi Ansarullah-backed armed forces occasionally shoot down enemy drones.
Several countries, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, have been invading Yemen since March 2015 to establish a government loyal to it. Their aggression has so far killed more than 17,000 people in Yemen, injured thousands and displaced millions.
