Anyeong!

Weather is better today than the past few days, although we are still staying inside our house. While scrolling through Facebook, I came across this post which I really agree with.

Seeing this, I remember a post that I have shared a few days ago. Here's my post:

Whether we like it or not, supporting only those who show success is such a negative trait for most of us Filipinos. Like when Margielyn Didal came back from Tokyo after her game, she did not get the same welcome with Hidilyn Diaz. There was no live coverage or what. Well, I do understand that Hidilyn gave us the honor of getting the first Gold medal in the said event, but Didal was able to get into the top 10 which is already a good start since this is her first time. It makes me sad to think that Brazilians are supporting Didal despite the fact that she's from a competing country, making her trending on twitter as well and calling her a legend. I never saw any post from fellow Filipinos about support for her, we were not even congratulating her for a job well done. Are we not proud of her for that she was able to represent our country on this prestigious competition?

This kind of attitude actually not only applies to sports, it actually is a reality in every individual.

You will only be recognized and supported once you become successful. They wouldn't care of you if you are just a nobody, but believe me, once you become a somebody, they can't wait to kiss your ass. You will eventually be recognized by your relatives once you become successful, relatives that wouldn't even spare a glance on you when you were still a nobody. They'll be the one to approach you first and would even boast their relationship with you.

It's just so disappointing thinking how they treat you when you were a nobody to how they drastically change once you've become successfull. The hipocricy of these relatives to feel like you've been close with each other from the start making you uncomfortable.

Can't we just be proud of each and everyone? Can't we just support each other whatever achievements we received? It would be a big help to those who are struggling if we could just show support to everyone, in whatever aspects or situation that we are in, either it sports, or any kind of competition that we are facing. Wouldn't be a better place to live in? Do you agree with me?

That's sad reality. They will not even support you during the process. They will only recognized you if your brought an award.
