“What one loves in childhood stays in the heart forever."
-Mary Jo Putney
My youngest daughter, Emerie, loves wearimg dresses. She had lots of it. She was not a fan of dresses before, although I am able to wear her a dress but not often. She doesn't look girly as well since she has a very short hair since birth.
But last year, when I was working in Manila, she started wearing dresses everyday. She doesn't want to wear anything except for a dress or skirt.
Her ate Emver has tutu dresses when she was her age. Those tutu dresses was her most favorite ones which she would often wear almost everyday so my mother-in-law would often wash those dresses because she would cry endlessly if she won't wear one of those. So what I did was to brought her a couple of tutu dresses. And then, I looked for her other dresses that she would usually use if we're going out or attending a party so she can use it interchangeably with her tutu dressss.
Since then, she would always wear dresses. She doesn't care if it's an old fashion dress like this:
or this:
Or dresses like these:
She would always wear it with her sandals.
She also loved makeups! There was this one time that she didn't stop.crying for she wants to have her tita's make up kit. So they told her that they'll just buy her one. Look how happy she is when she got one:
She would often day that a princess must always wear dress and sandals. And she must wear make ups too.
Because of her love on wearing dresses, some relatives gave her dresses for her to use everyday. They love seeing her everyday OOTD with her dresses. And she would always love to show them what she wears.
Allowing our kids to wear something that would make them happy is also allowing them to know the true essence of being a child and for these children to feel our support on whatever choices that they want that we know is good for them. Let kids be what they want for their success starts with them feeling genuine happiness in whatever they do.
Nice to see your baby carry clothes in different styles I felt she looks more pretty in the skirt. As far as her hair is concerned I am also worried about my daughter because her hair is also very short since she was born.
