It has been more than 3 years! How are you, my dear read friends? I was daydreaming, or shall I say, recalling the past and I just realized, there were a lot of things that I have missed. You know, pre-pandemic and stuff. Ever since I live with my partner, to be honest, some parts of me have been locked away. When you live with other people, the freedom is no longer the same, I had to adjust and consider my actions. Not that I want to impress them, I just want to show I respect their rules in the household. Have you ever wished you could pull back the hands of time and do things all over again? That is what I am feeling right now.
You know: It has been more than 3 years since I had a formal job in the BPO and I still haven't got my certificates and other forms from Telus. It has been more than 3 years since I had a job as a Virtual Assistant It has been more than 3 years since I had the title Customer Service Lead It has been more than 3 years since I graduated from e-Commerce University It has been more than 3 years since I got the Certificate in eCopy Writing It has been more than 3 years that I had worked the night shift It has been more than 3 years of going through a lot of stress with my boss It has been more than 3 years since I talked to my former boss, Arshad, and his family It has been more than 3 years of not receiving my salary through PayPal It has been more than 3 years and I missed having my own money It has been more than 3 years of not working with anyone else It has been more than 3 years of not paying my taxes and loans It has been more than 3 years since I stayed at home, the longest It has been more than 3 years of not receiving benefits and compensation It has been more than 3 years of working in different gigs and micro-works It has been more than 3 years of being an Appen member with no regular projects It has been more than 3 years of being a full-time homemaker It has been more than 3 years that I am in the same roof with Bam, my daughter It has been more than 3 years of not seeing my friends at work It has been more than 3 years of not seeing my friends in Kalayaan and I miss them a lot It has been more than 3 years since we had our staycation as a family and I wanna do it again It has been more than 3 years since we went to the beach in Eagle Point, Batangas It has been more than 3 years of missing Tingloy, watching the shooting stars, and making wishes It has been more than 3 years since I had a brick-oven pizza from Gino's It has been more than 3 years since I had visited Jazz Residences in Makati It has been more than 3 years since I had been to a posh restaurant on Ayala Avenue It has been more than 3 years since I got drunk and wasted with my friends It has been more than 3 years since I bought jeans and new clothes It has been more than 3 years since I used my Timezone cards It has been more than 3 years since Bam edited a pic of a white rose It has been more than 3 years since we joined the Trick or Treat in my partner's company
I am feeling nostalgic right now, my friends. Things have changed and I do miss doing the normal activities where I had the money, time, and freedom to do all of those. Sometimes I think we would be happier if there were no memories that make us nostalgic and mostly sad. Sometimes I would like to erase my memories. But that is not possible. I feel sad when I think about the past. I wish us a better future my friend! And freedom ... For me, the greatest freedom at the moment is when I'm in the toilet, I like to escape there and be a little alone 🤣
I couldn't agree more, my friend. Those memories sometimes make us bitter. I, for one, miss my mom every day. Whenever I feel sad, I just close my eyes and recall how it felt being with her and tell her how sorry I am and I thank her for everything. My greatest freedom is when we are walking outside :) I am happy that we can finally do it again. I can't be free in the toilet, I had to clean it almost every day leaving me a little time for myself lol.
