"Legend of Autumn" by director Edward Zwick, based on the novel by Jim Harrison, is a drama that skillfully, logically, and convincingly combines the inner turmoil of its characters with significant world events that take place at the same time. Cvik subtly brings us closer to the feelings of love, loss, betrayal, hope, passion, and fear that make the lives of the characters fulfilled even more than they themselves would like, so it is not surprising that the audience easily identified with them. Fifteen years after "The Legend of Autumn", she has not lost anything of her magnificent beauty.
A war and a woman stood between the three brothers. Thus began the "Legend of Autumn." Former American cavalry lieutenant, William Ladlow (Anthony Hopkins), lives on his ranch at the foot of Montana Rockies, where he raises his three sons without the city noise and madness that has gripped the world. The eldest son, Alfred (Aidan Quinn), is withdrawn and conscientious, with a firm opinion regarding everything that is happening around him, and the youngest, Samuel (Henry Thomas), is the true embodiment of idealism from the beginning of the twentieth century. In the middle is Tristan (Brad Pitt), a wild spirit and an unstoppable desire to meet new people. When Samuel returns to his hometown, both of his brothers fall in love with his fiancée Susanna (Julia Ormond), but the real problems only begin when the horrors of the First World War reach their distant home.
I have never seen this movies before, but I see that main roles are played by great actors, I will see this movie for sure.
