Miss Universe 2021 just happened in Israel. I have never watched it on TV or the internet because I had no time to watch. Based on my FB timeline, Miss Philippines was part of the Top 5. Congrats to Miss India for winning Miss Universe 2021.
Bea Luigi Gomez is from Cebu City and she is a proud lesbian and part of the LGBTQ+ community. And I must say, she is the perfect representation of her community.
So my question is, should Transwomen join Miss Universe?
For me, it’s a NO. Miss Universe should be for natural-born female either you’re a born as a straight girl or a lesbian. Either you have issues with infertility or just being asexual. It doesn’t matter if you like the opposite sex (boys) or with the same sex. Natural-born women means no fake p*ssy and no fake beauty. As simple as that. Miss Universe is a celebration of women for its natural beauty. We should stick for NATURAL BEAUTY and not for surgical and medical enhanced beauty.
Miss Universe is a beauty pageant intended for naturally-born women and was created in the 1950’s.
A Transwoman is a person who was naturally-born a male with a p*n*s but feels like a woman and decides to transform himself as a woman with the help of science (taking hormonal pills, medical surgeries and enhancements). Many surgeries have been done all over the body just to make himself look like a woman.
Transwomen should have their own beauty pageant. Actually, they have their own beauty pageant when Kevin Balot won Miss Queen International 2012 from the Philippines. I highly respect this person for being classy and proud as a transwoman.
I just don’t understand why Transwomen should interfere Miss Universe when they have their own beauty pageant. Do I really need to compare and tell the obvious physical differences of a woman and a transwoman?
If they allow transwomen to join Miss Universe, they should allow SINGLE MOMS to join Miss Universe as well. Single moms who never got married are not damaged goods. They are more qualified to join Miss Universe as it is a proof they are naturally born women who are capable to get pregnant. The essence of a real woman is there already as long as they fit in the age requirement between 18 to 28.
In 2018, Angela Ponce who is a transwoman represented Miss Spain. She was given a highlight on stage for being the first transwoman who officially joined the Miss Universe 2018. All I can say that it’s so unfair because average women don’t have the money to afford medical enhancements and surgery. Seriously, is this even normal? Should I get worried and insecure that the standards of beauty is getting superficial and they more in favor for fake and enhanced beauty?
If Miss Universe and other beauty pageants for women will be filled with Transwomen, it means beauty is now getting superficial. It is not about a celebration of being a woman but a celebration of fake beauty and identity.
I am not discriminating Transwomen. Transwomen deserves having their own pageant without interfering women’s beauty pageant. Gay men have their own beauty pageants to celebrate for themselves.
This is a bit sensitive topic ate and I admire you for the bravery to give your opinion in this. I totally agree with you. Miss Universe should be exclusive with the real and natural born women only.
