Challenges? Face it head-on!
I have always enjoyed watching people and observing their raw actions and reactions. It just amazes me how we have so many similarities yet different at the same time. Indeed, people are really unique.
Aside from watching people, even though I am kind of a shy person, I still enjoy talking to people whom I am comfortable with. Being in a business wherein you need to deal with customers, where customer relation is important, I might say that I am doing a good job by having a good relationship with our valued dealers.
We have quite a lot of them. Different people with different social status, civil status, gender, and profession. There is a variety of people whom I got to meet and talk to at a regular basis and I have also heard different stories from them.
I know their achievements, I know their struggle, and I have seen how they reacted on those every struggles.
One customer that inspires me the most is Ate Lourdes. She's a mother of 3, and a really hard worker. She also have a kind heart that is always willing to help others. One of her main struggle is having a sick husband so basically, she works for her family alone for she have to support her children's education as well as her husband's medication.
Aside from being our dealer wherein she get 25% discount on all of our products, she also owns a sari-sari store and I know and all sorts of side hustles just to earn an extra sum. She didn't have that much either but that is not a reason for her to help.
There was this one time, it was a kid from their neighborhood. The father was the one taking care of the kid but he failed to look up to the kid properly and the kid ended up being sick for days and the father doesn't know what to do. Ate Lourdes was the one to do the initiative to took the kid to the doctor. The kid was admitted to the hospital and she's also the one who made an effort to solicit funds for the kid's hospitalization.
Then there's this another customer who brings so much joy to us with her jolly personality. She has been our dealer for years now. I have known her from her first work, when she attempted to join the military, when she passed the PhilSAT exam as she aim to enter law school, when she graduated from her master's degree, when she ended up being a public senior high school teacher, when she passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers, and now that she's studying for her doctoral degree.
I might not know exactly all the details but I know she has been on her ups and downs yet I never see her lose the positive energy that she have. I remember back then when she got into a motorcycle accident. She was injured, like really injured, but she still managed to narrate to us the full story with her usual jolly voice that makes her story so funny.
Sadly, we also have customers who were pushed down because of their struggles. They had problems and it brought them down. They reacted negatively on a negative situation and that causes them to have more negativity.
So, the reason why I'm sharing their stories is because I want to illustrate the different reactions of people to the challenges they faced or the challenges that they are facing.
You see, we all face challenges and we only have 2 ways in facing it. It is either positively or negatively. Some people see challenges as an opportunity to improve so they'll work harder until that negativity became an opportunity. But there are also others who are easily disheartened, and once disheartened, they'll lose hope, and once they lose hope, that's where it all ends.
What I'm trying to say is that we should treat challenges positively. See it as an opportunity. The more we fail, the more that our eyes will be opened to see the things where we are lacking. And once we know the area where we are lacking, let us use that as an opportunity to improve in that area.
Also, I personally think that life without challenges is not living at all. Challenges are part of living and if we give up to the first challenge we encounter, we cannot move on to the next level. But if we keep on trying to surpass that level, we'll eventually get passed that level. And every time we will pass another level, we will become more stronger.
As long as we are alive, these challenges won't end. So, don't give up on life. Don't give up to any challenges. Keep on trying, keep on succeeding. See it as an opportunity. Do not limit yourself with what you can only do because you can definitely do more than that.
I believe in you. Keep going! :)
May God bless ate Lourdes with more blessings and healthy life because she deserves it all.
