What do you usually do whenever an opportunity comes by and knock at your door?
Me? Of course, will immediately grab every chances after series of weighing up such decisions. Why? Because I believe that "opportunities tends to come and go."
If an opportunity comes along the way, we only have two options to consider. Either we "accept and continue" or "let it pass." There's nothing wrong in rejecting a chance as an individual surely has a valid reason/s like he/she is waiting for something bigger. However, regrets were incorporated at it. As always! So it's better to ponder, wisely.
On the previous weeks, I and our family faces another financial difficulty. I mean, we do everyday. Hence, a more serious financial crisis tends to transpire once to twice a month. Ito 'yung time na maiiyak ka na lang sa sobrang frustration.
This financial crisis took place as we ran out of rice supply & LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) by 11.08.2022 and 11.11.2022.
Imagine how stressful it is for a family with low-earning-capacity? That's really heavy to carry upon the shoulders and to think off especially that Mama only earned around PhP 1000.00 ($17.46) and Papa's daily earnings do varies on how many people he could give a ride.
But, guess what? Something came up to somehow lift up the occurring problem. Just like what this phrase were pointing out ...
"In the middle of difficulty lies [an] opportunity." - Albert Einstein

Do I agree in it? Yes! How could I concur? I've got to experience it for an uncountable times. Actually, I couldn't even remember every single details as it happens for such instances.
In fact, it happens again. When? Just yesterday, Sunday (11.13.2022).
Storytelling ...
My former Grade 12 teacher in Research together with her husband owns a chocolate store and laundry shop. Moreover, I've seen their Facebook post indicating that they are in need for a "Laundry Staff." What I did is I instantly sent a private message to her.
However, our conversation didn't last that long for an unknown reason. I thought that my former teacher won't no longer message me up for additional updates. But yesterday afternoon, a messaged popped up in my screen. It's Ma'am Jen, asking if it won't be inconvenient for Mama to travel that far.
Thereby, I fastly composed a short reply saying "it's okay, Mama will be alright with it." My mother was at Tita's house that time, so I forced myself to go out as Mom's decision is badly needed, ASAP. After minutes of serious talking with her, she agreed and I messaged her soon-to-be boss. They talked via Messenger and after it, we just need to wait for their final decision.
And, tadaaa! Everything were settled around 6PM at the same day as Ma'am Jen informed us that Mama were advised to start today, Monday (11.14.2022).
And, yes! Here is the opportunity given to Mama and to our whole family ...
"Mama was hired to be a Laundry Staff, yeyyy!" 🤎
She'll be working from 8:00AM-7:00PM for 6-days every week, Mondays to Sundays except for Wednesday as it is her dayoff. Her salary? PhP 4000.00 ($69.82) and can increase to five thousand pesos on the next month, depending on her performance and character."
This new work of her will surely be exhausting and energy-draining but I won't push her to grab it without further assessment. Here are my reasons:
Lola Vivian will leave to Australia by December 03. Therefore, Mama will be be jobless. Well, not totally. Having a backup job is a MUST.
The salary isn't a joke, it is already high for us.
She have the experience & compassion to this work as she's been a laundry washer (labandera) since 2015.
And today, her new working experience begins. Good luck, Eomma! I believe in you. :*
