Uptrennd has been quite possibly one of the most popular crypto-friendly blog sites with its own network. Uptrenndians, the users of the platform, were happy with the growing ecosystem regardless of the decreasing price of the token. Even though there were a ton of Guardians of the platform, the expanding Ethereum expenses + spoiled/manipulated tokenomy bring forth serious issues on the side of developers.
Presently, Probit is the mere exchange that you can purchase/sell 1UP tokens.
The miserable part is that there is a high withdrawal limit for the bloggers.
Due to the threshold, users with lower than 2000 tokens cannot withdraw their money. Contrary to Read.Cash, the platform limits people to reach their money if they do not reach a certain level. I hope people can understand the flawless mechanism behind Read.Cash in terms of instant payments.
Not your keys, not your money.
What happened to Uptrennd? Why did it fail?
Ethereum Fees, Upvote Circles, controls, and decreasing popularity pushed the devs to surrender. By then, the Guardians are reprimanding the Co-founder for not reacting to the Guardians for 6-7 months, and in any event, blocking them on a few channels.
Here is a goodbye post by perhaps the most well-known Guardians:
If the founders of the platform did not help Guardians in terms of the operations taking place, then we may consider a possible exit from them by leaving thousands of people behind with questions in their minds. The case is historical for the crypto-blogging mini-ecosystem.
Lessons for Users; Lessons for Developers
The system had been operating without fundamental problems until the transaction fees of Ethereum skyrocket. As the value of the token cannot compensate the fees for the transactions of the users, they increased the withdrawal limit (aka threshold) to cope with the valuation.
If the operating blockchain cannot solve your problem, it's better to cross-chain with the suitable ones basically like Bitcoin Cash or similar veterans.
If the platform limits you from reaching your money, think twice before spending your time and effort there.
If you do not own your keys as in Read.Cash, Noise.Cash, WAX, AVAX, etc, you are vulnerable to experience similar cases.
The case of the Uptrennd platform is a perfect example of why people should choose a platform neatly before diving into it. I'm sorry for my friends who lost their X Levels of accounts done in several months...
The Upcoming Airdrops for Users
At least there will be airdrops for the users of the platform.
Let's talk about Trodl and Subsocial Network.
TRODL
Trodl is a different venture that is designed by an alternate group of engineers. The mere point is that they did an airdrop for Uptrennd users. In my opinion, Trodl will be more successful if the platform can handle basic concerns about the tokenomy😌
Using a separate token is quite risky in crypto-blogging. Since we are used to receiving instant payment through Bitcoin Cash, we may not comprehend the difficulties the devs go through for sustainable tokenomy.
Subsocial Network
Subsocial Network will be operating on Polkadot Blockchain. Regarding the scalability of the blockchain, I believe it's a sound idea to choose Polkadot but for Ethereum.
I will give a try to the platform but I'm not overhyped for it. To some extent, it will be a place where Polka ecosystem will be advertized 😄 The first impression of the platform gave me such a message though I'm not sure yet ^^
Final Words,
Managing a crypto-blogging platform in today's greed-oriented conditions is not easy stuff. Thanks to the precious efforts of Simon + the dev. team, both Read.Cash and Noise.Cash platforms are working perfectly. P-E-R-F-E-C-T-L-Y!
Just take a look at several platforms that failed to manage all the flow of people, money, and products and I believe you will realize the functionality of our platforms better. Our platforms are backed by the blockchain facilities of Bitcoin Cash and we are talking about one of the most reliable cryptocurrencies of all time.
Depending on my personal experience, I suggest you read Whitepapers; explore the tokenomy of platforms then dive into it. The moment you feel restricted, you may consider not spending your valuable time there.
I've also tried the Uptrennd, Steemit, and Publish0x sites. However, due to the different disadvantages of each, I now spend time only on read.cash and noise.cash. In Steemit, our content and upvotes have no value without our steem power. Publish0x was really a waste of time for me. Because you have to have a certain audience there, which takes a long time to work. On Uptrennd, the points we earn are used to increase our level. Frankly, I made very little earnings on publish0x. I have 2 AMPLs in my wallet now. However, I still need ETH to trade this to ETH. I won 40 Tron from Steemit.
Under these circumstances, I decided not to waste my time with publish0x, uptrennd, steemit. I'm so far away from the crypto world that I don't even understand why ETH is being used so much while the gas fees are so high.
For me, read.cash and noise.cash are enough.
