Bridging from BCH to sBCH
How do I swap from BCH to sBCH?
Firstly, make sure you have Metamask or a compatible wallet already set up.
On hop.cash, click "Go to the bridge", then "Connect Wallet". Confirm access if your wallet asks you. If you have not set up with smartBCH already, click "Set up SmartBCH" and follow the instructions.
If your wallet is setup with smartBCH, the bridge should default to "Bitcoin Cash -> Smart BCH". If it is the opposite, click the arrow to swap them.
Then simply specify an amount you would like to bridge. The minimum is 0.01, and the maximum is limited by the available pool balance.
After that, click "Bridge". The wallet will ask you to sign a message. Confirm the signature.
Send yourcoins to one of the addresses/link/QR codes displayed. If you want to use the raw addresses without a set amount, click the clipboard icons to copy them. Using Cashaddr is encouraged.
Wait for the bridging to complete and you are done!

How fast is the BCH to sBCH swap?
For amounts less than 5 BCH, the bridge waits less than 1 minute for a doublespend proof confirmation. For amounts between 5 BCH and 50 BCH, the bridge waits for 1 confirmation. For amounts over 50 BCH, the bridge waits for 2 confirmations.

How do I make sure I'm swapping to the account I want?
Pay attention to the account in the "recipient" box, make sure it matches the account you're sending to.

I sent a small amount but the bridge waits for confirmation anyway. What gives?
Some transactions do not allow for easy double-spend proofs, so the bridge cannot verify their security at 0-conf and will have to wait for confirmation. Examples include p2sh transactions and transactions with very long unconfirmed ancestor chains.

I don't see an incoming transaction in my Metamask wallet!
You may notice that the amount increased anyway. Unfortunately, Metamask does not show any transaction that doesn't come from the local wallet, and we can't do much about that.

I accidentally closed or reloaded the page after I send the funds, but when the swap is already going on.
You should be able to revisit the BCH -> sBCH page, and the transaction should continue. The transaction may automatically continue even without you reloading the page if it has already been registered, just watch your Metamask amount for the update.

What does the "Cancel" button do?
If you have not sent funds yet, the cancel button takes you back to the bridge so you can do a different transaction instead.

Bridging from sBCH to BCH
How do I swap from sBCH to BCH?
Make sure you have Metamask or a compatible wallet already set up.
Click "Go to the bridge", then "Connect Wallet". Confirm access if your wallet asks you. If have not set up smartBCH already, click "Setup SmartBCH" and follow the instructions.
Click the arrow to swap sides so the bridge should read "Smart BCH -> Bitcoin Cash".
Specify an amount you wish to bridge. The minimum is 0.01, and the maximum is limited by the amount in your current account.
Specify a recipient address. This is where your BCH will be sent. You can get your recipient BCH address from your wallet or exchange. After that, click "Bridge".
The wallet will ask you to confirm a transaction. Authorize it and then wait for the bridging process to complete.

How fast is the sBCH to BCH swap?
It waits for confirmation on the sBCH chain, which is usually under 10 seconds.

Unfortunately, we do not have a way to blacklist any coins on both sides and have no plans to attempt implementing that.

What do I do if I somehow screwed up?
Don't panic. Record all relevant information including the transaction id from your wallet, amounts, addresses involved, exactly what you did prior to the error, and screenshots of the error if possible. Ping one of the admins in the @hopcash Telegram channel. Send privacy-sensitive information, if any, through direct messaging. We'll get back to you ASAP.
