Today I visit the Tea Garden Restaurant, which is known for its traditional Nan Yang food and beverages. The branch is located at the PV128 building in the Genting Klang area.

After looking at their menu, I decided to order their Yang Zhou Fried rice which cost RM14.45 after including the 12% Service tax.

Yang Zhou Fried rice is a popular Chinese-style wok-fried rice dish in many Chinese restaurants throughout the world.

The difference between Yangzhou fried rice and ordinary fried rice is that the Yangzhou style invariably includes a combination of proteins. Rather than using a single protein like shrimp or pork or chicken as the dominant ingredient in fried rice, Yangzhou uses a variety. Most commonly used is a combination of pork, shrimp and frequently chicken or duck.

The tea garden version uses shrimp and Chinese style roast pork in their fried rice. On the fried rice, there are some shredded lettuce and cracker.
