Santan Pak Nasser's Nasi Lemak salted egg prawn
Today I visited the Santan Restaurant located at the Mid Valley MegaMall to have my lunch. The Santan restaurant is opened by AirAsia Berhad, a Malaysian multinational low-cost airline company.
After looking at the menu, I order their Pak Nasser's Nasi Lemak salted egg prawn which cost RM14.90 per plate.
For those who don't know what nasi lemak is, it is a dish originating in Malay cuisine that consists of fragrant rice cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaf. It is commonly found in Malaysia, where it is considered the national dish.
nasi lemak is served with sambal sauce, and usually includes various garnishes, including fresh cucumber slices, ikan bilis, roasted peanuts, and hard-boiled or fried egg. As a more substantial meal, nasi lemak may also be served with an additional protein dish such as fried chicken, sambal sotong, small fried fish, cockles, and rendang daging.
For my nasi lemak, it is served with salted egg prawn. It contains 4 large size prawns which I think consider reasonable for its price. Great meal for those who love nasi lemak and salted egg flavour.
