Rocku Yakiniku meatzilla buffet

Today I decided to have my lunch at Rocku Yakiniku, it is a Japanese restaurant located inside the Mid Valley Garden Mall. It is normally known for its buffet and grilled meat.

After looking at their menu, I decided to try their Meatzilla buffet which cost RM46.28 after including the 16% Service tax.

It is cheaper than the normal lunch buffet, the only difference is this menu is without seafood and is limited to these 7 options of meat to choose from. Beware that this buffet doesn't include drinks in it, you have to order it seperately.

The meat options are Smoke duck, kara miso chicken, teriyaki chicken, black pepper chicken, teriyaki pork collar, black pepper pork collar and kara miso pork belly. I order one portion of each type of meat to try.

The buffet bar got vegetables, fruits, soup, rice and pasta. I only grab some vegetables and fruits so that I can finish eating all the meat I order.

For those who don't know what "yakiniku" mean, it commonly refers to a style of cooking bite-size meat (usually beef and offal) and vegetables on gridirons or griddles over a flame of wood charcoals carbonized by dry distillation or a gas/electric grill.

When your meat is served, they will give a piece of pork belly thick with fat to rub on the griddles to oil it so that your meat doesn't stick on it when you are grilling it.
