Ren braised beancurd with minced chicken and chilli sauce in Szechuan style
Today lunch I revisited the Ren restaurant at KLCC Suriall Mall, a restaurant that specialises in Shanghainese and Xinjiang Cuisine.
After looking at their menu, I ordered the braised beancurd with minced chicken and chilli sauce in Szechuan style. After including the 16% service tax, the total cost is RM29. I also order a bowl of white rice which cost me an additional RM4.05 after including the 16% service tax.
This dish in Szechuan is called Mapo tofu, it is a popular Chinese dish from Sichuan province. It consists of tofu set in a spicy sauce, typically a thin, oily, and bright red suspension, based on fermented broad bean and chilli paste, along with minced meat, traditionally beef.
the tofu is soft and tender, the sauce is tasty and spicy. Overall the dish is very well presented and I enjoy eating it.
Seems like Queen Margarita Royal place 🥴
