Little Penang Kafe char koay teow with duck egg
Today I have my dinner at this restaurant called Little Penang Kafe to try another dish. It is located on the 4th floor of KLCC Suria Mall, it specializes in Penang cuisine.
This time I order their char koay teow with duck egg, it cost RM18.85 after including the 6% service tax.
char koay teow is a popular noodle dish in Malaysia. it is normally stir-fried over very high heat with light and dark soy sauce, chilli, a small quantity of belachan, whole prawns, blood cockles without shells, bean sprouts, chopped Chinese chives, slices of Chinese sausage, fishcake, beansprouts. Then add it the flat rice noodles at the end and continue to stir-fry until it is properly mixed.
Little Penang Kafe version contains prawns, crab meat, cockles, egg and bean sprouts.
