Today lunch, I revisit the Lot 10 Hutong Food Court. It is a food court will a lot of Malaysian traditional food in it.
This time I explore the Kim Lian Kee stall which is known for its Signature Hokkien mee. I order a plate of the Signature Hokkien mee which cost RM15.30 per plate.
Hokkien mee is a Southeast Asian dish that has its origins in the cuisine of China's Fujian (Hokkien) province. There are three distinct types of Hokkien mee found in Malaysia, this Hokkien mee I am showing is the Hokkien Char type. The Char refers to this darker, stir fried variant.
It is a dish of thick yellow noodles braised in thick dark soy sauce with pork, squid, fish cake and cabbage as the main ingredients and cubes of pork fat fried until crispy
