boat noodles beef Pathumthani noodles soup

For my dinner on my 4th day of the home quarantine, I order this beef Pathumthani noodles soup from boat noodles restaurant in Setapak Central Mall on my grab food app. The boat noodles restaurant is knowns for the boat noodles dishes.

For those who don't know what Boat noodles are, it is a Thai style noodle dish with a strong flavour. It normally contains both pork and beef, as well as dark soy sauce, pickled bean curd, and some other spices, and is normally served with meatballs and pig's liver. However, this version which I order only contains beef because pork is considered non-halal in Malaysia as a Muslim country.

The soup is seasoned with pig or cow blood mixed with salt and spices, this version I order is likely only beef blood. The colour of the soup is similar to beef noodle soup but considerably thicker due to the blood added. It is commonly served in a small bowl.
