Ali Muthu Ah Hock nasi lemak ayam goreng

Today I and my friends have our lunch Ali Muthu Ah Hock restaurant in KL East Mall. The Ali Muthu Ah Hock restaurant served all sorts of well known Malaysian local dishes.

After looking at their menu, I order their nasi lemak ayam goreng which cost RM15.20 per plate. It is a plate of nasi lemak that is served with fried chicken.

For those who don't know what nasi lemak is, it is a dish originating in Malay cuisine that consists of fragrant rice cooked in coconut milk and pandan leaf. It is commonly found in Malaysia, where it is considered the national dish.

nasi lemak is served with sambal sauce, and usually includes various garnishes, including fresh cucumber slices, ikan bilis, roasted peanuts, and hard-boiled or fried egg. As a more substantial meal, nasi lemak may also be served with an additional protein dish such as fried chicken, sambal sotong, small fried fish, cockles, and rendang daging.

For Ali Muthu Ah Hock version, I think their nasi lemak portion is ok. the Sambal is not that spicy, the peanut and ikan bilis portion is considered a lot. While the price is a bit pricy, the portion considers suitable for the cost.
